As servants were going around and giving wine to the guests, Lapo degli Umberti and his allies were discussing their plans for the upcoming term before their discussion with the military generals started. They eagerly shared their visions for improving the city's infrastructure, fostering economic growth, and promoting social harmony. With their diverse backgrounds and expertise, they hoped to change the city for the better and obviously retain their powers.
