26. Jealous

Alexander and Dylan's eyes were quickly drawn to Dermot. Their mind-links were opened so Alexander found it more appropriate to speak to Dermot through the mind-link and he connected their mind-links together.

He thought the problem Dermot was talking about is something he wouldn't want his mate to hear so it's better to speak through the mind-link. 

He glanced at his mate and found her staring so intently at Dermot, her doe sky blue-eyes flickering in something that seems like amazement.

That was surprising because these little moments he had been with his mate, he found out that she's the shy type and wouldn't stare intently at someone she's just meeting for the first time. 

Alexander knew that it was stupid of him to be jealous of this little thing but at the end he found himself jealous. 

"Love," he called but Muriel's eyes were still on Dermot who had also noticed the way the little girl was staring at him. It got him muddled. 

"Dermot, it looks like Alexander's mate likes you. I have been trying to get her attention for more than five minutes now but she gave me none but in less than a minute, you managed to draw her attention towards yourself. Oh! No, I feel so jealous right now," Dylan blab out, making a silly jealous face.

It was Dylan's voice that snapped Muriel out of her daze and she finally blinked her eyes as they unawarely looked beside her and fell on Alexander's jealous face. 

Alexander was able to understand why his mate was staring so intensely at his Beta. She's probably admiring Dermot's eyes which are one of the things that always draws people's attention towards him. Eventhough he has gotten his answer of why she was staring at Dermot, he's still jealous.... he want her to stare at only him in that way and no one else. Of course, any lycan in his shoe would feel jealous and he finds it absurd.

"I told you that these beautiful charming yellow eyes of yours will get you into trouble one day and look it just happened, you made Alexander's mate to get lost in your mesmerizing eyes and now the great supreme alpha who never gets jealous ended up being jealous," Dylan who has finally understood why Muriel got lost staring at Dermot, said through the mind-link not knowing that Alexander's mind-link is already connected to his and Dermot's mind-link.

Hearing what he said, Alexander glared at him. It was at this moment he realized that Alexander's mind-link was already connected to theirs. He gave off a nervous smile and quickly scolded himself inwardly. He was talking about Dermot's eyes getting him into trouble but his mouth will be the death of him one day.

Realizing the way she had stared at Dermot, Muriel shyly dropped her gaze to her thighs once again.

Muriel herself was surprised that she forgot about her shy nature and ended up staring boldly into the eyes of a stranger but those yellow beautiful eyes were what caught her off guard.

It was at the moment she heard the word problem that she subconsciously raised her face and her eyes caught the most beautiful yellow eyes she had ever seen. She didn't realize when she got lost in those eyes, they were so beautiful and captivating and caught all her attention for what seems like more than three minutes

"What problem were you talking about?" Alexander asks through the mind-link.

"Angus… he bought all the shares at the company in Texas which is under Riverwalk pack. He knew the pack is part of your territory but still wanted to mess with them. He's trying to render the pack useless by taking all their companies through buying off each company's shares. 

"Humans are most of the shareholders at each company and so it was easy to bribe them by placing high prices to buy off their shares…. He couldn't do the same with the werewolves and lycanthropes who are part of the shareholders because of their royalty towards you but their shares are merely enough to stop Angus from taking over the companies because his shares in each of the companies are already enormous after buying so much from the human shareholders.

"Alpha Alfred, who's the ordained alpha of the Riverwalk pack, had pleaded for your intervention. No one can stop Angus if not you. Those companies are the major source of income for the Riverwalk pack and if they lose those companies, they will be left with nothing," Dermot stated in detail.

Alexander's face had turned dangerously cold even before Dermot could finish his words. He clenched his fist in pure rage as he tried to calm himself.

Seeing the enraged look on the supreme alpha's face, Dylan quickly speaks up through the mind-link, "I will talk to my father to…"

Before he could finish, Alexander cut him off.

"You don't have to, I will deal with this myself. He should have minded his own territory and never tried to step foot into mine, he has gone too far and I am not going to spare him." 

Hearing what he said, Dylan gulped down. This man never jokes with his words. What was wrong with his stupid father. Why can't he understand that Alexander is more powerful than him and no matter what he does, he won't be able to defeat Alexander. 

Alexander owns larger and stronger territory than him. His stupid father should know that and know peace but he refused to do so.

He had been the one saving that man's ass for years now but the stupid man thought he always escapes Alexander's wrath because he's valiant and resolute or because Alexander is scared to wage war with him. That stupid father of his thinks that he will win a war against Alexander… so ridiculous.

Dylan wonders if Alexander will listen to his plea this time and not hurt his father. 

Though that man is stupid and he hates his guts, he still loves him because he is his father and he knows his father also loves him. 

"Alex I…."

"Dylan," Alexander once again cut him off. 

Dylan bit his lower lips and didn't speak further, he knew Alexander is not someone you can change his mind once they are made up.

"I'm not going to hurt your father because I know how important he is to you, so you don't need to worry." 

Alexander never wanted to say those words but seeing his sad little cousin, he didn't know when the words let off his lips. He cares so much for this cousin of his even if he doesn't admit it.

Angus is alive today and kicking is all because of Dylan. If not for Dylan… Angus would have been dead a long time ago and Alexander will definitely be the one to kill him.

"Is Angus still in Texas?" He asked Dermot.

"Yes, he's planning to leave Texas in the next two days," Dermot replied.

"Get everything read, we are leaving for Texas tonight."
