Training Eevee

"Based on the recommendations, the first step is to strengthen Eevee's feet, body, and tail. Next, we'll work on reaction speed, and finally, Eevee's sense of smell," he muttered to himself, jotting down notes.

Jun was determined to unlock Eevee's hidden ability, Anticipation. Although Eevee's current ability, Adaptability, could be useful in certain situations, it was of no use to Jun, who wanted to pursue both the path of a trainer and a scholar.

Unlocking [Anticipation], on the other hand, would be a game-changer in battles. With this ability, Eevee could anticipate the opponent's moves and react accordingly, giving Jun a significant advantage.

*Clap*

Jun clapped his hand, "Eevee come here"

"Kyuu~?" Eevee who nested on the new fluffy bed curiosly looked at Jun.

Looking at the lazy Eevee, Jun forcea smile but he knew his Eevee just in infant stage, he need to shaped it's nature first. He stood up and grabbed Eevee, Then he put it on the floor.

"Originally we will start our training tommorow but since we don't have anything to do anyways, let;s start with catching ball okay?" Jun said

He slowly found a toy ball he use to played in the past and said to Eevee, "look here first I demostrate it first then your turn next okay?"

Jun held the ball out to the side at shoulder height, then randomly dropped it. As soon as the ball was released, Eevee watched it closely and followed its trajectory with its eyes. Jun repeated the process a few more times, each time dropping the ball from different angles and heights.

"Okay, now it's your turn Eevee." Jun handed the ball to Eevee and positioned himself a few feet away. "When I drop the ball, you need to catch it before it bounces twice. Ready?" Eevee nodded eagerly.

Jun dropped the ball and Eevee sprinted toward it, catching it in its mouth before it hit the ground a second time. Jun cheered and gave Eevee a pat on the head, "Good job! Let's do it again!"

They continued the training for a while, with Jun gradually increasing the difficulty by dropping the ball from higher and more unpredictable angles. Eevee's speed and agility improved with each catch, and it seemed to be having a great time.

"Alright, that's enough for today," Jun said, scooping up Eevee in his arms. "We'll continue tomorrow with the next part of your training."

"Kyuuu~" Eevee nodded, waiting with anticipation. He found this game very fun and not too difficult.

- The next day, 7AM in the morning -

The sun rose in the sky early in the morning and the morining sunlight already shone on the taining field as the sun gradually moves westward.

"Hahh..haahh" Jun is breathing heavily after running.

Jun and Eevee were both lying down on the training field, exhausted. After a simple training session the previous night, Jun was so excited that he woke up at 5am to continue their training. At first, Eevee refused to train because it was still sleepy, but Jun promised to give it delicious food after the training, so Eevee reluctantly agreed.

Father Leonard and Uncle Chris looking at Jun and Eevee who was exhausted with approval.

"Here, here...take a break and eat this first," said Mother Vanessa, watching him with a smile as she brought a supplement food for Eevee after its training. It's basically 11g of Cubone bone and 20g of Miltank milk. Since Mother Vanessa is a breeder, she naturally knows what's best for infant stage Pokemon like Eevee. This supplement food is basically good for Eevee's skeletal strength.

Eevee's eyes lit up as it looked at the plate full of food, and it looked eagerly at Jun. After seeing Jun nod, Eevee jumped to Aunt Vanessa and wobbled as it ate its food and milk.

"Father, is there any rookie Pokemon here for Eevee to train?" Jun asked.

Father Leonard was thinking for a moment, then touched his chin, and replied, "Hmm... yesterday I got lucky to have a new Pokemon. Maybe you can try it."

Father Leonard then took out a LuxuryBall and threw it, causing a red beam to glow before an orange, chick-like Pokemon covered in feathers and with two tiny wings appeared. It was a Torchic!

Jun was taken aback. Why would his father have a rookie stage Pokemon? Isn't his father's Pokemon slot already full of master rank Pokemon? Why would he want to have another Pokemon?

This is common knowledge in the Pokemon world that people usually only have a maximum of six slots for their main Pokemon. While other people usually have more than six Pokemon, it is usually used as a backup, but it's very rare since raising a Pokemon is not a cheap thing.

Not only had his father acquired a new infant stage Pokemon, but it was Torchic, one of the founding family members' Pokemon. Jun recalled from his predecessor's memory that since the establishment of the Pokemon Alliance, usually every 10 years, the Alliance will declared three new founding families of Pokemon based on fire, water, and grass attribute types. With the Alliance now established for almost 100 years, this meant that there were nine generations founding families Pokemon already.

Torchic belongs to the 3rd generation of fire-type founding family Pokemon, alongside Mudkip, a water-type Pokemon, and Treecko, a grass-type Pokemon.

"Hmm, since you didn't use the alliance selection quota yesterday, instead of it going to waste, I thought I might as well use it," his father grinned, knowing what he was thinking.

Jun was startled upon hearing this, and suddenly something clicked in his mind. "So that's how it is," he thought.

His predecessor was previously obsessed with Pokemon scholar rather than trainer, so he believed that using the Alliance Selection quota would be a waste for him, and thus rejected it when his father offered it to him to get one of founding family member Pokemon.

Obtaining a Pokemon from a founding family member is not an easy feat. First, the parent of the child receiving it must have made significant contributions to the Alliance and have a clean criminal record. Second, the amount of money they pay also plays a crucial role. The more money they spend, the higher the potential of the Pokemon they will receive. Since the Alliance has technology to measure a Pokemon's potential, they do not have to worry about being scammed.
