When Cael turned away from his defeated enemy, he saw Ginevra had dealt with her own as well. The golden dragon turned into a frozen statue of himself.
The only two left fighting were Mimi and the rust dragon. They still rolled around the dunes, raising clouds of sand in the air. Sounds of growling and thuds of heavy bodies hitting the sand filled the air.
Cael flapped his wings and rose in the air to get closer and see the fight better without entering the sand clouds. From several meters above, he had a great view of the two dragons.
He expected them to be at least somewhat wounded—especially Mimi. Her physical capabilities were only partially changed by her transformations, although they were high on their own. A real dragon would take his copy in a fight, but Mimi would definitely land a few hits of her own—that was Cael's reasoning.
