First Day of School

"Irrelevant material?", Arthur asked, and in response, Jack took out a beer and a pack of cigarettes from inside of his dimensional pocket.

Even from his bed, as all he stared at was the ceiling, Jack could tell that everyone had their jaws dropped, as the room was silent for a solid ten seconds until Tarik decided to scream, "YOU ARE A THUG?"

"Yeah"

Moving on from the issue was Alicia who seemed to be more focused on the connection between Jack and the headmaster, "So I'm guessing you met with him after being visited by an advisor?"

"Yeah"

"YOU ARE JUST GOING TO IGNORE THAT?"

*

The group continued talking for two more hours until it was eventually time for dinner. With them all heading out of Jack's rooms, and finally leaving him alone, Jack decided to not eat at the cafeteria for the day, as he was exhausted.

It wasn't due to the fact that he had to socialize but more so the fact, that he didn't have much holy magic inside of his body, making even one use of the taunt ability be extremely detrimental.

Olivia and the headmaster pondered about this in the past but in the end, they just chucked it into bad luck. Jack also just thought of it as bad luck.

Nevertheless, it was still annoying that only using it once was enough to send him to his knees. If Jack didn't have a superior body thanks to his awakening, it would have ended horribly for him.

*Knock Knock

Trying to fall asleep, Jack was once again interrupted by the sound of knocking on his door, and after opening it, he found the same six troublemakers who made their way inside without saying a word.

"..."

And following the same process as before, Jack got atop his bed once again, only this time, he had a sandwich given to him by Arthur.

"Why did you guys come back here?"

"Oh, it's because Lei wanted to ask you a question and also because I wanted you to give me your number"

Giving his phone number over to Arthur, he was immediately placed into a group chat with the other five in the room. Jack for sure knew, that he was going to ignore everything here, so he put the group chat on mute.

After doing so, Jack stood up and started to eat his sandwich while off the bed, so he wouldn't get any crumbs on it, "So what did you want to ask, Lei?"

Getting embarrassed at the sudden situation, Jack could tell that she seemed to have a sort of anxiety when speaking with others, so he decided to not rush the situation.

"Um, I-I w-wanted to know, if you think that, I wasn't of much help, during the entrance exam?"

"Yeah, you weren't"

Everyone in the room seemed to have transcended humanity, as all of their brain cells became one, 'How can you be so straightforward?'

"HOW CA-"

"But you didn't have to be...It is an entrance exam for a reason, is not an exam one takes after years of the best education in the academy, all you need is to try and slowly get better, even if it is a small step to try to move forward. I remember stopping my steps one day, it was the worst."

After saying those words, Jack kicked everyone out of the room, so he could finally sleep.

The next day, Jack found himself with almost 300 texts that appeared on the group chat, and reading them while he showered, he found it surprising that Lei was actually quite talkative while online.

Leaving his room after getting ready, Jack made his way to the cafeteria that rested exactly on the left side of the floor, the place as always with anything in the academy was unnecessarily large. Thankfully for Jack, it seemed as though no one was in the cafeteria at the moment, so he just went ahead and started to order some food for himself.

The cook, however, had a concerned expression on his face, "Kid, you know that it's 9:30, right?"

Confused at his question, Jack just stared at him with a dumbstruck expression.

"Yeah?"

Seeing as Jack didn't seem to understand, he decided to not beat around the bush any longer.

"Your classes start at 8:00"

Shocked, Jack had to let out a curse, before shrugging and demanding his food.

"F*ck...I will still take my breakfast, please"

Defeated, the man taking the register, just accepted Jack's requests.

"...Fine"

After eating his breakfast, while having a conversation with the cashier, Jack slowly made his way done the many stairs to get to the first floor. Checking to see his schedule once again, Jack found it to be incorrect, as the starting time said ten, so he couldn't help but be confused until he noticed who was the sender, [Olivia].

Going down the stairs, Jack encountered an acquainted face, however, something didn't seem right, as Lei held her head down low, while covered in unusual bruises.

Stopping her before she could go up any further, she only noticed Jack after she felt the pain once he had touched her shoulder.

"What happened?"

Looking down as she continued to tremble, Jack found himself in quite a predicament, and what would one do at this moment? Use force.

"If you don't tell me what happened, I will just use my connections and this whole situation will go overboard.", The worst that could happen to a coward.

Closing her eyes in fear, Lei responded in a tearful voice, "We had to get in p-pairs, and as the one with the l-lowest rank in the grade, I just lost, and...That's it."

Running away before Jack could question her any further, her attempted escape only ended in failure as Jack held onto her arm.

"What did the teacher do?"

"Ah...N-nothing, since four S ranks are in our grade, she was only focused on them as others were left to train on their own for now."

Thinking of everyone that was on the scene, Jack already knew who to ask for information.

Not letting go of Lei's arm, Jack made his down as she didn't even try and resist. Leaving Lei in the infirmary before leaving to go to the same room as yesterday, the indoor gym.

Opening the doors to the place, everyone's attention was on him, and ignoring even the teacher who tried to reprimand him, Jack made his way all the way to Damian who was swinging a sword all on his own.

"I saw Lei, on the way here."

Stopping his practice, Damian cleaned off the sweat on his forehead.

"I don't know, in reality, I wasn't paying much attention...Do you see that new teacher?", Pointing at the only adult woman in the gym, she had red hair and red eyes, a unique color to say the least.

"She divided the rooms into four, the room can create random walls all throughout the place to create even personal training rooms, however, in the end, it ended with all the S rankers being in the same room as her, while Lei and I ended in different rooms. Once the walls came down, Lei was on the ground in a fetal position. And all the teacher did was dismiss her before not even investigating any further"

Looking at her in disgust, Jack already knew what type of person she was, a person that only cared about status and rank.

"Point at the ones that were in the same room as her."

Doing as he was told, Damian pointed towards five individuals, consisting of two female students and three male students. And without any warning whatsoever, Jack started to walk towards them.

The students that were in the group soon noticed, Jack, approaching them, and seeing his expression, they all started getting to fight.

The first one to step up was a buff man, with brown hair, standing well over 40 cm over Jack, he laughed as he started to walk up to Jack, and with only one meter between the two of them, his head that was looking down was suddenly at the same height as Jack's.

Looking at his legs, the buff man noticed them both having been bent in half like a pencil that had been broken in half but before he could even react any further, Jack held onto his arm, and with his elbow, he cracked it in half. The buff man was just too stunned to even scream.

The other two guys behind him had finally reacted to the situation as they rushed forward trying to strike, Jack in the face.

"You bastard"

Dodging the attack of the blue hair guy, he smashed his arm in half like the other guy. The third guy, noticing an opportunity, tried to strike Jack, in the back of his head, only for him to be taunted, leaving him confused, as his right arm was also broken in half.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH"

The third man who just had his arm broken in half, started to cry in pain, finally catching the attention of the others that were farther away from the silent spectators enjoying the show from the sides.

The red hair teacher, finally noticing the situation, instantly appeared in front of Jack, stopping him from rushing against the girls hiding behind her back.

"What do you think you are doing?"

Not answering her question, Jack activated his bracelet, and a call immediately started the moment he did.
