The wind blew by her ear, and she answered with silence. The awaited result didn't come, and Su Ling'er opened her eyes.

"Huh?" Confusion clouded her expression, her big eyes staring at the empty field in front of her in silence.

"Are you alright?" The sudden intrusion of a male voice caused her to jump in fear and hurriedly look towards where it came from.

"... It looked like you were in trouble." Controlling his expression from breaking, Yun Che replied normally. "Are you alright?"

"Yun Che," he replied. "And this is my wife, Xia Qingyue...though she is asleep right now."

"Waah~ Big Sister is so beautiful!" Su Ling'er's eyes turned towards Qingyue, and she exclaimed loudly with her hands in the air. Her eyes shone brightly, staring at Xia Qingyue's sleeping face; she had never seen such a beautiful woman in her whole life!

A soft smile floated over Yun Che's face, seeing Su Ling'er laughing happily. His black eyes stared down at her with gentleness, and he asked, "Ling'er, my wife is not feeling well, and we are new to this place. Can you show us a place where we can stay?"

"Oh! Then Big Brother Yun should come to Ling'er's clan! Father would be happy to receive you!"

Being a kid, Su Ling'er would not understand or comprehend the fact that there was a place beyond where she lived. So the phrase "far away" was best to be used in this situation, at least that's what Yun Che thought.

"Ling'er! Ling'er!" Just then, a panicked and scared voice of a middle-aged man floated in the air. Both Yun Che and Ling'er's ears perked up before Ling'er's expression suddenly changed.

"It's Father!" She exclaimed before, without any hesitation within her steps, ran towards the origin of the voice.

Yun Che saw this and quickened his pace. From the perspective of another person, Yun Che looked like he was walking at a normal pace, but strangely enough, each step covered more distance than the previous one.

Only people who understood spatial laws would understand that Yun Che was not walking; in fact, he was jumping from one space to another.

Though this made it look like he was walking, he was actually teleporting very fast.

"Ling'er! Ling'er!" The middle-aged man's expression turned happy as he looked at Su Ling'er running towards him. He unhesitatingly opened his arms and tightly hugged her. "Ah, you are fine! Father really thought something might have happened to you!"

An angry expression floated over his face, his eyes filled with murderous intent.

"I heard that people from Blackwood Stronghold were commissioned to capture you! Forgive Father for not being careful! Don't worry, once we are back, I will definitely make those from Blackwood Stronghold account for what they did!"
