It was already later in the evening in the Fallen Empire's Capital. With the time difference, Wolfe could put in his appearance here, and then return home and still attend the evening events in Forest Grove.

The High Nobles of the Fallen Empire all looked excited to get the party started and sample the present that Wolfe had brought for the King. But there were formalities to be done first.

They needed to file paperwork through all their worlds, so all the leaders of the army knew that the battles were over and any planned attacks on the world would now cease, to be replaced with diplomatic and law enforcement measures, with the Fallen Empire in charge.

So, there wouldn't be a huge party today, from what Wolfe could tell among the mutterings of the Nobles who were really looking forward to it.
