Gerry shot a quick glance at Allen before chiming in again. "Yeah, we're working on it. But let's keep this between us for now, alright?" He clapped Mark on the shoulder, giving him a friendly nudge. Mark shrugged, looking a little perplexed but not too concerned, and let it drop.

Once Mark turned his attention elsewhere, Gerry leaned closer to Allen, lowering his voice again. "Alright, so here's what I'm thinking. We don't need to blow up her spot, but we can play this smart. First off, we've got to get ahead of whatever she's saying about you. Start changing the narrative before it takes root any deeper. Maybe make it clear that you're not taking any of this seriously, you're just here to work out, mind your own business, and keep your head down. We make her rumors look ridiculous by being chill."

Allen raised an eyebrow, intrigued but skeptical. "So I just do nothing?" It was upside down with his previous suggestions.
