Our runaway vehicle started picking up the pace as I continued trying to get the metal to melt in my hands. The heat in front of me was starting to get to smelting levels as I felt my stomach tighten from the exertion. Fvck me! Did I seriously not have enough Wesen for this?!

Squeezing more Wesen out of my body, I willed my flames to burn hotter as a fiery orange glow began to appear on both sides of the lever. Already, Ruby was wincing above me as she continued to hold on to the broken piece of metal.

"I-I'll be fine!" she hesitantly replied with a hiss. "Just be quick!"
