I clicked my tongue in annoyance. Well, she had a point, at least. "How do I prove it then if you think I've just copied your recipe?"

 

This was just stupid. I could always just force her to tell me the info, but I wasn't going to mentally manipulate a kid like that. I still had some form of morals, especially towards cute professionals that acted far beyond their age most of the time.

"First off, what's the name of your so-called sister?"

 

Easy enough, "Lise."

 

"What does she look like?"

 

"Brown hair, about this high," I described as I motioned to just above my shoulder. "Young adult, probably carrying a lot of weapons. Happy?"

 

Unfortunately, Jen didn't look too convinced despite my fairly detailed description. "Dammit. You know her pretty well. But that doesn't mean you really know her."

For fvck's sake. Then again, I applaud her paranoia. "Fine. At least you got some of her paranoia."
