26.8 Unexpected

*FWOOSH!*

A ring of fire expanded outward from his location just as I finally managed to regain my sanity enough to evade the encroaching flames. The heat of his fires wasn't as strong as I was used to, but the principle of the matter was that I was still going to get burnt if I got hit with even a single lick of the orange plasma.

*WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!*

Rolling away from the man, three arrows suddenly flew from Mathilde's bow, all aimed squarely at the other Primzahl as a trail of bright light accompanied them.

Wordlessly, the man put up a shield of flame, the arrows getting incinerated upon contact while the light brought with them managed to punch some sort of dent through the wall of plasma. I pushed the impossibility of what I was seeing to the back of my mind as I quickly gathered my wits for another attempt at striking him.
