The view from the thirtieth floor where he resided was something Albert had always loved. Standing on the balcony, he watched the sun setting for the day.
The sky was dyed in streaks of violet, amber and ruby. The colors were so brilliant but, strangely, they felt so melancholic to him today.
"I'm getting older..."
Shaking his head, Albert smiled at the setting sun before he walked back inside. Lights had been switched on, brightening the inside of the luxurious apartment where he stayed alone.
Albert had moved back to his homeland for good. His almost two decades' worth of working abroad were put to good use. He established his own firm right after he returned.
His elder brother Thomas offered Albert a good position in the company. But, he politely refused it, saying he wanted to be on his own. The family company had never interested Albert.
"Do you simply despise the idea of working with me?"
