Chapter 60: The Tedsons

Frankline took a seat beside his parents as the event planner kept going on and on about the preparations she's been able to put in place for the anniversary dinner.

"This is suppose to be a small dinner between us and our family friends. Why am I hearing stuff like ice sculpture and game boards. "Mr. Noah Tedson asked nobody in particular. He was sitted on one of the armchairs with his wife leaning on his shoulder while he stroked and caressed her hair and neck.

"I thought so too." Felix Tedson, franklin's younger brother added.

"Mum." Franklin called turning to his mother. Every other member of the family turned to her as well. The whole idea of the anniversary  was for the family to have a round table dinner with very few family friends. But hearing the event planner talk about certain things, it was obvious someone told her something entirely different and everyone knew it was definitely Sarah Tedson.

"What?" Sarah ask everyone flinging her hands. "Why is everyone staring at me? Honey," she turned to her husband." This is our forty years anniversary celebration. I just wanted to spice things up a little. You know, play some games, have a live music performance where we get to dance as much as we want. It's not such a bad idea. Don't you think so?" She asked her husband batting her eyelids and smiling at him.

"I think it's a great idea." Noah replied to everyone's surprise. 

"Oh my God, I'm done with this two." Felix said as they all burst into a hilarious laughter. Sarah placed her head back on her husband's shoulder with a knowing smile. 

"You heard my husband." She told the event planner. "Everything I said is a great idea, so we're going ahead with it. Right honey?" She asked.

"Mmhmmm, anything you want my love." Noah replied planting a soft kiss on his wife's forehead.

"Oh my God, you two are so gross, get a room already." Frankie said laughing. "So, we're good with everything mum asked for, even the ice sculpture? Felix?"

"What do you want me to say brother. You heard father. Everything his wife said is what he suddenly want. So, there you have it." Felix replied.

"But Dad, we talked about this." Frankie tried again.

"Franklin, please let my husband be. He's made his decision. Moreso, we are the celebrants. Why are you stressing yourself." Sarah asked him.

"Son, we'll go with whatever your mother want. It's either that or she won't let us rest. So please, we'll get the ice sculpture." Noah replied his son while Sarah gave him a mischievous smile. She knew exactly how to get whatever she wanted from her husband, her darling husband.

"Fine." Frankie finally said. "Have the dress been delivered to the Kentley's residence?" He asked the event planner.

"Oh no!" She exclaimed and stood immediately. "I'll ensure that it's delivered right away sir." She replied.

"You haven't sent Paige's dress yet. What have you been doing?" Sarah snapped at her.

"I'm sorry about that ma'am. I'll do that right away." She apologized once again and left hurriedly.

"So, it's Paige now hmmmm?" Noah asked looking at Franklin who flashed an angelic smile.

"He's smiling father. Frankie is so gone. This Paige own his heart. Damn, I can't wait to see her really." Felix almost screamed with laughter. Their parents laughed as well.

"Felix, stop it." Frankie said with a smile. "It's Paige, father." He replied. "She is a nice person. So lovable and well learned."

"Your mother who happened to speak to Paige on one of her visits to the Kentleys actually told me tons of adorable things about her than you just did." Noah said looking at his wife who rolled her eyes at him.

"Franklin have always been a man of few words darling," Sarah said. "We all know that about him. But you all need to see this girl." She said sitting up. "She is classy, smart, have a great shape and oh, she is gorgeous! I don't mean the basic gorgeous, I mean the super model angelic neck turning type of gorgeous. In fact, I'll just hold my peace. When you see her, you'll complete the rest." Sarah told them.

Everybody was stunned at Sarah's description of Paige except Franklin of course who knew that everything his mother said was nothing but the truth. Knowing Paige was like knowing an Angel. She was lovable and soft if that was a perfect word to describe someone.

"Does she have a younger sister?" Felix finally asked after recovering from Sarah's revelation. "Or a best friend?" This caused everyone to roar in laughter. 

"Go get your own woman Fe. Franklin actually put in the work. You need to do more if you want a serious relationship." Noah told his youngest son. 

"Okay, that's enough please. Let's talk about the anniversary. How is our entrance going to be like. I will love a grand entrance. Won't you honey?" Sarah asked her husband.

"I will." Everybody chorused together except Sarah who smiled at all of them. Without being told, the boys already know what their father's reply was going to be. So, the chorused it. Sarah looked at them happily, the men in her life. Hopefully soon, her son was going to bring in another woman to the family and she'll finally have someone to talk, chat and relate to.
