Chapter 149 Days to the wedding 30

"At this rate, your dress won't fit anymore!" "I don't care!" She said without meeting my gaze and I rolled my eyes at her words. We were done with lunch only after Carie emptied her plates and almost asked for more.

This isn't about the babies anymore, Carie is a natural food monger. As promised we went ahead to get better view of the water fall. Carie felt pretty exhausted and could not stand for long cause she felt heavy. Why wouldn't she when she had four course meal emptying the entire plate. I had to get a taxi to take us home since we lost the guards.

Arriving back at home, "They're here!" Mother exclaimed as she hugged us tenderly. I was confused at what was happening and at the same time, I could feel grandma's strong glare at me.

"Where have you both been, we've been trying to call for hours now!" Mother said perturbed. "Hello I'm detective Hokum!" we were greeted by a blonde haired man. Mother hired a private detective in search of us already? "Hello!" I and Carie greeted.

"Just tell me miss Wilson, did anyone try to harm you and your sister? Why did you both get missing?" "No listen, we were not missing, we only went out to have fun and explore the country!" I said taking off the hijab from my head.

I celebrate all the Muslims who were those. To a beginner, it's not easy.

"By escaping from the guards?" Grandma asked furiously. "Grandma we're tired of being followed by guards, we just wanted to live like normal people just for a day!" Carie said this time.

"How many times have I told you, you're no normal person Carie? This is why I hate us getting closer to people of lower status. She's currupted our Carie's mind with her low level of thinking!" Grandma pointed at me.

I could see the awkward stare the detective gave me. Was all this really necessary? "Just die out of this family or better still leave, you don't belong here!" She got up and walked away. "Mother that's a terrible thing to wish your daughter in-law!"

"Your daughter in-law Maria. I curse the day I met this whore for trying to kill me today!" " Stop it, you're all blaming Hazel for our mistake. I'm no little baby that she'd have to babysit!"

"I suggested we escape from your bodyguards, I suggested that we turn off our phones so none of you would be able to reach us. All we wanted was......!" "Nothing, have you forgotten how many enemies your brother has that wants him dead. If they can't have him they'll go for the easy target!"

This argument and shouting is not good for either grandma and Carie. I'm ready to accept the blame, Carie needs to just rest. It's not like it's the first time grandma is saying hurtful words to me, I can take it. The only thing I have to do is go into my room and cry, and after thirty minutes, everything would be over.

Besides it's been so long since I cried, I have enough tears instilled in my eyes waiting to be released.

Mother went over to the detective to say something and they both walked out. Finally the Carie and Grandma's episode was over and I had to help her to her room. All she needed then was a long warm bath and a long nap too.

"I'll ask Frank to prepare a warm bath for you!" I said to her once I helped her lay on the bed. "Please don't take anything grandma said to heart!" Carie held my hands and I smiled. "Don't worry about me, I know she said those words out of anger, maybe she was scared something happened to us!"

"To Carie!" Avery stood by the door with her hands crossed on her chest. "Grandma cares less about you, if you must know she was referring to her granddaughter!" She finally walked in.

I was totally not in the mood to talk right now, I could feel my head already spinning so I had to stay calm. "Avery stop this already, I don't want that!" Carie said already feeling dizzy from her argument with Grandma.

"But that's the truth!" Avery shrugged her shoulders like an innocent kid. "I'll go get Frank now!" I left the room, and got back downstairs to get the butler. After my time with Frank, I got back to my room to rest my head.
