The Starlight academy part 3

Max saw a wide mountain range with a lot of buildings on it. The nature was not destroyed in this place and there were a lot of trees around the different buildings. When the ship came closer Max saw the clear divide in this academy. Down the mountain there were a lot of buildings with people of lower level running around like ants.

On the higher parts of the mountain there were less buildings as the height increased. The people walking around there were more powerful. Max asked Vanessa: "There are a lot of different peaks. Are they responsible for different things?"

The different peaks did look totally different, and it was weird.

Vanessa answered: "Well our academy has a lot of different peaks that responsible for different aspects. We have a knight peak that accepts knights of different levels. There is also the magic peak, alchemy peak, blacksmith peak, formation peak and many other directions that the students can go and study. Each student has to get accepted into the knight or magic peak and then he or she could try to get accepted into the other different peaks. If someone will become a good alchemist, blacksmith, formation master or other profession specialist they could benefit greatly. The academy will take care of them, and they could pay the resources that were invested in them and just stay at those peaks as specialists. There are many such cases when commoners rose in fame like that."

Max looked at her and asked: "What about you? Did you try yourself at one of the peaks other than the magic peak?"

Vanessa blushed in embarrassment and said: "It would sound cliche, but I did try myself in alchemy because of my affinity to fire magic. I say that not because I came to meet you here. The problem is that the resources for alchemy are really expensive, and it is not an easy subject to pick up when you don't have a mentor. There are no free stuff in the academy. You pay in bronze, silver, gold coins or contribution points. Here is my alchemy trainee badge."

After she said that she got a badge with a pill sign on it and showed it to Max. Max took a look and gave it back to her. After a little bit of thinking he said: "I don't know how much free time I will have or even how long I will need to stay here. If I do have the time I will give you a few pointers. A fire mage has a good chance to become good alchemist. The Ideal combination is a knight, fire and water mage, but even as a fire mage you still can get to a level of potions, pills and pellets that will have the effect of up to sixteen times cultivation speed for mages for example which is equivalent to high level products."

Vanessa was very happy with this response. If they were not already boarding, she would put his pants down then and there and give him a big thank you and big "hach too" on that thing.

Max was standing outside of his room with Vanessa when he saw Mark coming over. Mark did try to meet Max a few times, but Vanessa was making him work on her, so it did not really work well. It did make Mark angry but there was nothing that he could really do. He was a high-level teacher of the academy, but he did not want to offend an alchemist. Alchemists were very proud and unreasonable people that most did try to befriend. They did not have to be strong in any way. Many people would gladly do what the alchemist requested even if it was to kill someone for the right compensation.

Mark came over with a flattering smile and said: "Mister Max we landed on the base of the mountain. From here you can take a teleportation gate that will get you to the alchemy peak where you can get the master alchemist test. If you need any help I will gladly help you to see around the academy."

Max nodded and said: "I will be glad to take a look around after I will take the test. I could find you and we can take a walk around the campus and have a nice chat."

Mark was not disappointed. He understood that Max did came here for a reason. If he would really to become an alchemy master, it would be grand news for the whole continent. The alchemy association included all races and another master alchemist from the human race was great new in general.

After hearing Max's answer, the Mark said with a smile: "Sure thing. You can find me at the teacher's office at the top of the magic peak. I'm waiting for our meeting and good news for your promotion alchemist Max."

After saying this he left the ship to one of the teleportation points and just disappeared. Max turned around and looked at Vanessa and asked: "Would you come with me, or you want to do something else?"

Vanessa did not think much and said: "I can show you around the alchemy peak. I don't have access to a lot of locations on the peak, but I still can show you the general things that are accessible for everyone."

Max nodded and said: "Then let's go. I need to take this test and see what my level is right now."

Vanessa was more and more sure now that Max was not kind of simple alchemist that was trying to take the master alchemy exam. After consuming his potion, she became sure that he was someone great at his craft.

Vanessa led Max to one of the gates and they did disappear as well in the big amount of people that were making their way to different teleportation gates. When Max and Vanessa appeared at the Alchemy peak Max got really impressed. There was a strong scent of different alchemical herbs, and it was very peaceful. It was great atmosphere to concentrate and create something new. The sky was blue and bright. The temperature was also how he like it. It was not too hot or cold. He could see the great view from the peak. It was something hard to describe in words.

After looking at the distance enjoying the view for some time Max turned around, signalling Vanessa to lead the way. Before them was a grand structure with the words: "Alchemy pavilion".
