Nancy’s POV
“If you want to leave, we can go do something else,” Sara assures me with a pat on my hand.
“I know my appetite is ruined,” Jessie groans. She slides her plate away - the only thing left on it is two pizza crusts.
“What if we go roller-skating?” Mollie squeals, practically bouncing in her seat.
Mollie’s always loved to roller skate; I think it’s because she’s the only one of us that’s any good at it. But it’s not a bad idea. We’ll have fun, and it’ll get my mind off Sabrina’s not-so-subtle threat.
“Yeah, let’s go with that. There’s a skating rink on campus, right?” I ask.
“Yeah, for the roller-skating team I could never be a part of,” Mollie says with a hint of bitterness in her voice. Mollie has been competing to be on the team since our freshman year, and they never pick her.
