Undercover In Iceland (5)

Rikka did not have many items to bring. In fact, she herself advised Isilda to leave behind most of her belongings.

The reason was quite simple; no one must suspect that they were running away from the country.

Rikka's heart pounded like insane right after she locked up her apartment building and stepped onto the street. At night, the only lighting was provided by a few streetlamps that towered high above her like some silent watchers.

Rikka quickly spotted Isilda a few buildings away. Isilda only had a little bag with her.

"Hey," Rikka greeted her in a low voice. "Ready?"

"Yes."

Rikka took Isilda's hand. Together, they waited for a carriage to arrive.

There were not many people who Rikka entrusted with the job. The carriage driver was the son of her father's retired kitchen chef. They practically grew up together, one was the son of a servant and the other was the eldest daughter of Hallmar Eisson.
