The End Was Near

After his arms were stabbed by a huge metal needle to create orifices to draw blood from, Aiden experienced a living hell.

He went through the same cycle every day, starting at seven in the morning and ending at seven in the evening.

Three times a day, he was forced to eat as much food and blood supplements as possible. Unknown medications were injected into his system several times a day. At night, blood was taken forcefully from him.

Aiden used to believe that the indirect method of drawing blood was less painful than the direct one. He changed his mind quickly after the first time.

The vampires were not gentle beings. They only saw Aiden as a golden-egg-laying goose. He had to eat in order to lay a golden egg every day, and they did not hesitate to demand said golden egg.
