"Orla…"

Martha called out to Orla again seeing that she was not moving at all. It was only then Orla came out of her thoughts and saw Martha looking at herself with a frown on her forehead.

She immediately hid all her resentment and put a fake smile on her lips as she said

"Thank you, Madam. But I have already bought one."

She would rather die in the cold than wear something that had been worn by a slave. Orla thought as she looked at Evelyn with disgust-filled eyes before she lowered her head to do her chores.

Martha's frown went deeper at these words. Just yesterday she had asked a fur coat from her and she bought a new one so soon. However, since she had already bought it, she would just put it away.

Thinking this, Martha was about to leave the kitchen when a maid stepped forward and said hesitatingly.

"Madam, can I get this? I actually wanted to buy one this winter but I was not left with enough money after buying the clothes for my children."
