Vampire Amnesia
Chapter. 11
Bilbina stared at the rows of trees that lined either side of the Stanley College gate. They looked like a sentry force that greeted every visitor on alert.
Several times of the tudor-style buildings surround the main building. The buildings form a box-shaped complex with grass fields and trees as boundaries.
Dusk came so fast. Bilbina only had time to complete the registration administration. She had not even seen the student dormitory which was not too far from campus. Finally, Bilbina decided to come again another day.
Bilbina had to go home now or she would be stuck in this Sawtooth Valley all night. The cold temperature dropped a few degrees. The fog also started to fall. The wind that blew made Bilbina's black hair messy. With long strides, she crossed the paved path under a row of pine trees all the way to the gate.
"Waaa!"
Unknowingly Bilbina screamed in surprise. In her rush, she tripped over her own feet. Her body fell onto the paved road below. Bilbina's hands were flailing in vain for the air.
Bilbina could almost imagine the hard asphalt road that would soon welcome her body. Resignedly, she closed her eyes. Prepare to feel the worst that might happen. However, it was not the hardness of the asphalt that she felt. Instead, Bilbina was greeted by a cool hug that touched her skin.
Hesitating, Bilbina opened her eyes. A masculine face with a firm jawline and red eyes, smiling right above her face. A strand of the man's blond hair even fell to touch Bilbina's cheek.
At first glance, the man's left hand ran his fingers across Bilbina's cheek. The cold wind touched the skin of Bilbina's neck like a butterfly kiss. Spontaneously, the girl pushed the chest of the man who casually brought Bilbina to his feet until the two of them faced each other like they were embracing.
"Are you okay?" Contrary to his stern face, the man's voice sounded so crisp and pleasant, it touched Bilbina's ears.
"Thank you for helping me, but please let me go!" Bilbina tried to escape from the mysterious Blonde's embrace. For some reason, Bilbina's subconscious was shouting an alarm, as she had often felt lately.
Meanwhile, for several tense moments, Felix Chandler, the man who had a face as smooth as a porcelain sculpture looked at the girl in front of him with a probing look. For a moment his soul seemed to recognize the girl.
"We've met before?" Felix's slowly spoken question felt more like a statement.
"No way, it's my first time here." They talk like old friends.
Bilbina was still trying to remove the man's hands from her waist. She felt uncomfortable. This was strange, but there was something that made her want to run away from the man in front of her.
"We'll find out later, but I'm sure we've known each other once. Now, tell me what's your name? I'm Felix Chandler." Felix's hand moved to reach and hold Bilbina's hand.
Felix's eyes stared deep into Bilbina's mind. He searched for any sign of recognition within her. He felt certain they had met before. There was such a strong feeling inside Felix when he looked at the wide eyes that narrowed at the end and was now staring back at him.
"I am Bilbina Dawn." Bilbina took the opportunity to quickly pull her hand away when Felix loosened his grip. "Sorry, I have to go soon, thank you."
Half running, Bilbina left Felix who still looked pensive. However, a moment later he immediately caught up with Bilbina who was almost at the outer gate of Stanley College.
Felix's steps stopped immediately. Far ahead, Axell Donovan was seen holding Bilbina's hand. Felix and Axell's eyes met above Bilbina's head. The hundreds of years of distance between them seemed to be burning with anger that bound the two of them.
"Is that person bothering you? Come on in, Bin, I have something to do for a minute!" Axell pushed Bilbina towards his car door which was already open.
"No, we have to go now. He's just helping me, come on!"
Axell looked at Bilbina's pale face. Hesitatingly, he glanced at Felix. Finally he found the young man. Axell's eyes shone with anger. In her mind he imagined hus hand gripping Felix's pearly heart with all her strength. At same moment, Felix felt on his knees and.
"What happened to Felix? Is he sick?" Bilbina was about to get back out of the car when she saw Felix fall to his knees in the middle of a deserted road.
"No, he's fine. Axell immediately closed the door beside Bilbina. After casting a satisfied glance at Felix, he immediately turned around and got into the car as fast as he could. Meanwhile, Bilbina's gaze was still fixed on Felix. She was relieved when she saw the young man standing slowly. After all, they certainly couldn't just leave him if he was having a hard time.
The brown Wrangler sped through the smooth road flanked by towering black rocks until it looked as if they were going through a tunnel. This section of the road is a little scary for Bilbina. She felt trapped in an endless dark tunnel.
The girl could only breathe a sigh of relief when the trees and the view of the hills replaced the black rocks that formed the passage behind her.
Almost all the way from the Sawtooth valley to the Alice mountains, where Axell's house is located, Bilbina was treated to a view that never bored her. Even as the evening mist began to descend, enveloping the nature around them, Bilbina could still capture the beauty left by the last rays of the sun.
"How did you know I was here?" asked Bilbina, turning towards Axell, after she was satisfied to enjoy the panorama.
Bilbina's question hung between the two of them. She looked at Axell's face from the side. In the dim car lights, the tension on Axell's face was clear from that close. There was pain and anger that Bilbina could catch from the young man's cold gaze.
"What is it?" Bilbina's low voice made Axell aware. He reached out and rubbed Bilbina's head gently. He could still feel the tremors of fear inside the girl that kept her from approaching Felix earlier.
Axell pushed his Wrangler aside. He saw the questioning look that was clearly visible in Bilbina's eyes. Axell knew they had important things to talk about at home. Now, he just wanted to make sure what made the fair-skinned girl look so pale a moment ago.
"Did he hurt you?"
"No, he just helped me earlier."
Axell's gaze nailed Bilbina, looking for signs of fear in the girl. However, Bilbina only shook her head slowly, she was more nervous now because of the close distance between her and Axell.
It was like a spring was pulling on Axell's back. The man returned to his seat immediately. For a moment, the stinging hot feeling in his throat tempts him to taste Bilbina's blood again, it feels so unbearable.
Axell felt angry with himself. Instead of checking to find out if Felix had done something to Bilbina. Instead, he felt a tempting desire to taste the sweetness of Bilbina's blood.
Axell reached for the drink box that was always available on the dashboard of his Wrangler. In one puff he drained the liquid in it. The burning sensation in the throat subsided a little.
Axell glanced at Bilbina briefly. Their journey was still quite far, the darkness outside had completely confined them both. The wrangler's cabin now felt cramped with the intoxicating sweet scent of Bilbina. Axell cursed inside. He felt trapped.
"Fastener your seat belts!"
