Ridiculous

-Medea-

Medea's heart was beating so fast that it might explode at the very moment, meeting a goddess wasn't a pleasant experience for her, after all, they ruined her life, and manipulated her for their own amusement.

To say that she's scared, was an understatement, she's terrified all her life. She believed that no one can defy Gods, because they are unfairly powerful.

If she can't defeat the gods back when she was still in her prime, what about now that she's restricted?

There's no chance of her beating this goddess in front of her, nor will she try because what's the point of fighting when she knows that she's going to be defeated in the end?

It's pointless, there's nothing she could overpower a goddess.

Medea bit her lips to the point blood fell from them, here she was thinking that she could have a peaceful normal life without the presence of the gods, but that crumbled from the moment she met her.

She wouldn't be able to live in peace as long as there is a divine living on this very planet.

Is it really too much to have a second chance at life without the gods?

Medea felt bitter inside her heart, now she's waiting for the goddess' judgment, hopefully, she'd grant her mercy and ignore her.

-Hito-

After his sister left and confirmed that all 3 of them are all alone, finally Lumine said.

"Hito…can you explain who is that spirit and why are the two of you connected?" Lumine pointed at Medea who suddenly came out of the astral plane.

Ah..well, it's obvious that she knew about that if Medea said about Lumine being a god, well goddess.

He already suspected that Lumine is part of the supernatural side, however, he never had expected that the girl he brought home was divine.

Suddenly, he was glad that he didn't have any bad intentions toward her when they first met, or else he'd probably die instantly.

He suddenly started scratching his head and replied. "Well….I'll probably start explaining from the beginning."

Then he started explaining what happened a while ago, and he explained every detail that he possibly could.

After that Lumine nodded satisfied with his explanation. "I see…so that's what happened, I can't blame you for what you did after all you were just trying to help, though I feel like you're still hiding something from me."

Her eyes were looking at him, and it made him feel guilty, she was right he was hiding a lot from her, he only explained about how he met Caster and not everything.

He didn't really want to hide anything from her, it wasn't like he's trying to keep the phenomenon in his sleep a secret, it was just unbelievable.

Beyond the boundary, a place where every possible reality exists, and in that place, he was omnipotent, as he could literally crush a reality with his bare hands and the people who were living there wouldn't see it coming.

It wasn't his assumption, in fact, the system confirmed that he could, as long as he's outside the boundary, however when he goes inside that certain reality, he was heavily restricted, and he was bound to follow the rules of the certain reality.

That's how his status existed, the abilities that were listed there were his power to bend the natural law in every reality that he goes in.

His status wasn't his overall ability, it never was.

Hito decided that he's going to tell her everything, however before he could suddenly Lumine continued.

"However, I won't pry any further and I would never force you to reveal what you're hiding because I know that you're only hiding them for a good reason, but in the future when you're ready please tell me."

He tried to open his mouth, but he closed it again and thought. 'She isn't exactly wrong about me, hiding about my secrets for a reason. I only did because no one would believe me if I told anyone about it.'

After being silent for a minute, he replied. "Alright, I will."

His answer made Lumine smile brightly, he could only smile bitterly, in his mind, he was mentally apologizing to her.

He promised in the future when he is powerful enough, he'd bring her to his dreamscape and tell her everything.

Because even if Lumine is a goddess, there's no telling if she could withstand his dreamscape, that's why he'll make sure that he's powerful enough to give her the protection she needs.

"Anyway, what are we going to do about her?" Lumine narrowed her gaze toward Caster.

Caster flinched at the sudden attention that she received from Lumine, he could tell that she was terrified of her, which was confusing to him.

Lumine didn't really do anything to his servant aside from looking at her, so why exactly is she scared of Lumine?

Wait, is it because she's a goddess?

If that was the case then, her reaction made sense, she's terrified because Lumine is a divine spirit as she mentioned a while ago.

Seriously, for her to act like that because Lumine is a divine being, does it mean that she had a very bad experience with gods?

Just what did the gods do to her for her to be terrified like this?

Honestly, he felt sorry for her, so he decided to divert Lumine's attention back to him. "Lumine, we will help her of course."

"Help her?" Lumine's attention was back on him, making his servant breathe in relief.

"Yes, she doesn't have a place to stay, that's why I'm going to let her live here." He said.

Lumine blinked and said. "Is that really a good idea?"

"Why wouldn't it be?"

"I mean, look at her." She pointed at his servant and said. "Her aura literally screams suspicious, and her attire did not help her at all."

He wasn't going to refute that, because it would be a lie if he didn't think of that, however, he wouldn't judge her because of her attire alone, besides he had a feeling that she's not a bad person.

"That's not exactly a reason to be suspicious of someone." He said.

Lumine let out a sigh and replied. "You're right, but please be careful around her."

"I won't." He answered immediately.

Making both women recoil in surprise. Caster expected him to agree, and so did  Lumine.

"Tell me why exactly you won't?" Lumine frowned.

"Because I have a feeling that she's not a bad person." He stated.

Lumine blinked at his reply and said. "That's not really a good reason to be careful of her."

"It is to me."

"...." Lumine became silent, she didn't know what to say to him at this point, because she knew that she wouldn't be able to change his mind about it.

"Besides, even if I'm wrong with my judgment, you're here to protect me." He smiled at her.

Making her blush a bit, then she started coughing to hide that blush. "W-well, I suppose…"

"So do you agree?"

Lumine let out a sigh. "Fine…have it your way then."

With that, he got Lumine's approval to let Caster stay.

After Lumine was gone, it was just him and Caster.

"So….do you have any questions?" He asked while scratching the back of his head.

"As a matter of fact I do." Caster calmed down significantly after Lumine left.

"Shoot, ask anything you want and I'll answer it with the best I could." He said.

"Alright then…why is a goddess living in your house?!" Caster screamed in a silent way.

Ah…of course she's going to ask that question.

"Well…it's because I brought her here?"

His servant looked at him incredulously. "How?!"

"Well, I kinda saw her one day in the streets, like I did with you. It's kinda ironic really, and I saw that she really needed help and decided to help her because I can't just leave her alone, again with the irony, thus after helping her, she stayed in my family house and eventually she became my adopted sister, and trust me I didn't know she was divine though I suspected that she wasn't normal, however it came to a surprise that she's a goddess." He said with a casual tone.

He didn't realize how ridiculous his words sounded to Caster.

"Don't say it like it explained the entire thing!"

"But it did." It wasn't a lie, while it's the oversimplified version of what happened, it did explain everything.

Caster was speechless, how could this guy be so calm about all of this?!

It's a goddess living in his house, how could he act like it's not a big deal?!

"I'm going to clear my head first, because I feel like tearing my hair off just by talking to you." Just like that she went into her astral form.

"Well…that happened." He could feel from their link that she was frustrated and distressed.

However, he wasn't going to bother going after her, because he was mentally exhausted for today.

He'll take care of it tomorrow.

Yeah, that happened.
