Trap realized

Sage could feel a strange breath fanning on her face, switching from hot to cold and cold to hot.

She groaned in discomfort and rolled all the way to the edge of the bed.

Just as she was about to fall off, her eyes flew open and her body froze.

Her gaze moved to the fire place, where she saw two sleeping demon panthers, then to the other side of the bed, where she met the blue slit eyes of a nine-tailed fox she hadn't seen in a long time.

Snowflake sat on the bed next to Cyrus, who was dressed comfortably for the night, his white hair damp and his gaze fixed on the book he was holding.

"It is midnight, you can still sleep." Cyrus said to Sage without taking his eyes off the book.

Sage swallowed, released her body allowing herself to fall on the ground. "Arrgh!" She screamed out in frustration and slowly got on her feet.

The side of Cyrus lips twitched.

"That is utterly stupid of you," He hissed and flipped open a page.

Sage inhaled and clenched her fist before making her way to his side of the bed.

He was so preoccupied with reading the book that she felt she had no reason to argue with him at the time.

"I want to go home." She spoke confidently.

"Suddenly you have brains." Cyrus scoffed, smiled and shook his head.

Sage inhaled deeply and closed her eyes to suppress her rage, but hate was uncontrollable, and she began to feel lust for him.

"I want to go home." She said again and opened her eyes.

"Why?" Asked Cyrus raising his lone brow.

Sage's eyes turned a fiery red as a sign of her rage.

He knew her reason!

"You know that the Firerian dragons wants me out of the way don't you?" Sage asked through her teeth.

"Yes," He replied and moved his gaze to hers staring directly into her lust filled eyes. "It is not my fault that you fell into the trap."

"You set the trap!" Sage yelled furiously.

Cyrus' eyes flashed with silver. "To be honest, I didn't expect that you would find out so soon. Mirabella unintentionally made you think so deep." He spoke dryly.

"You have always viewed me as stupid?" Sage asked in disbelief.

"I have always view you as absurd and foolish but not useless." He replied nonchalantly and placed his gaze back on the book.

Sage's eyes welled up with tears. She tried to keep her breathing and tears under control, but they just flowed out.

She regretted not listening to Katherine, but no one, except Cyrus Dragos, could have predicted all of this.

"I do not want to care anymore." Sage sniffled and lowered her head.

The lustful feeling was growing stronger, almost distracting her from her current goal of returning home.

"I want to.."

"You do not want to care anymore which means you do not want to kill me anymore?" Cyrus interrupted calmly without looking at her.

"I want to stay away from you." Sage mumbled and turned away.

Cyrus raised his head, staring at her back and hissed. "Coward."

"Yes!" Sage snapped and turned back to him. "Yes I am a coward! I do not care anymore because my goal from the beginning is to save my kingdom!" She fired, tears rolling out of her eyes.

"Too bad," Cyrus clicked his tongue, placed the book on the bed and stood up scratching the back of his neck lazily. "Your kingdom does not need saving my dear parrot." He added with a deep whisper.

"What do you know about my kingdom?" Sage growled at him.

Cyrus shook his head.

"I have been trying to put some sense in your brain for a while but you never understand. You always focus on the hatred you have for me which is why I had to mark you and to tell the truth, it is something I should not have done." He ran his fingers through his hair in frustration and continued. "You are not going back." He stood firm on his words.

"You cannot remove the mark! The conditions last time is now useless! I am going back home!" Sage screamed furiously surrounding her whole body with raging fire.

Cyrus rolled his eyes standing still.

His panthers awoke from their slumber and turned their attention to Sage, growling and preparing to charge at her, while Snowflake, who was seated on the bed, appeared as unconcerned as Cyrus.

"Do not burn my room, parrot." Cyrus said nonchalantly.

Sage's raging firey tear-filled red eyes narrowed at him, revealing lust and pain.

"Why are you doing this to me?" She asked sounding weak.

"I want your fire core." Cyrus replied with a deep whisper.

His sliver eyes flickered concealing any sign of emotion.

"Alright." Sage closed her eyes and inhaled deeply.

Cyrus and his guardians fixed their gaze on her, waiting to see what she would do.

Sage opened her eyes immediately, directing the fire force around her body toward Cyrus, who stood motionless, allowing the fire to blast him.

He groaned in pain, allowing Sage to flee to the balcony.

Cyrus and his guardians were engulfed in a bright glow, and when the glow faded, they were back in their dark state.

"Arrogant Parrot," Cyrus hissed in anger and ran his fingers into his dark hair.

"Stay." He growled at his guardians and appeared at the balcony seeing Sage standing on the railing.

He wrapped his arms around her gown-covered legs and pulled her off the railing just as she was about to jump.

She screamed and tried to kick her legs as he dragged her back into the room, but he didn't budge.

"Keep quiet!" He shouted and placed her harshly on the bed.

Sage was taken aback and looked at him in disbelief.

He was in his dark state and looked extremely sexy as he was furious.

'Why? Why does he have to be in his dark state when I have this mark?' Sage asked her thoughts in frustration.

He moved away and walked towards the door then opened it.

"Get out!" He shouted at his guardians.

The panthers were the first to flee, while Snowflake glared murderously at Sage, who was too preoccupied with her lustful thoughts to notice. He then jumped off the bed and exited the room.

"Now," Cyrus closed the door loudly making Sage flinch. "Tell me to touch you." He spoke seductively as he took slow but long steps towards the bed.

Sage stared in shock and slowly placed herself in a sitting position.

"W..what?" She stuttered not expecting him to say those words. It was a very bad time for him to say that.

He climbed on the bed crawling towards her wearing a dark smile that sent goosebumps to pop out of her skin.

"I do not like repeating myself." He whispered, his voice huskier.

Sage swallowed hard as her body craved his touch, her lips craved his, and her mind craved to be filled with him.

"No. Do not touch me." She growled and frowned deeply.

"You are such a big liar, dear fire mage," A female voice suddenly giggled in the room, inaudible to Sage who frowned deeply every second as she stared at Cyrus. "Cyrus, come to the mansion with her soon, she visited the other day but I think I startled her."
