Varya sat at her son's bedside, her hand resting on his back as she watched him sleep. She didn't want to admit it but she was procrastinating the inevitable.
No matter how much she racked her brain for a way out of explaining to Ebari the situation, she didn't know how to make it fair for either one of her friends. She wondered to who she was supposed to be more loyal. One of the men was her husband and the other man was basically her brother.
Realizing it would be too obvious if she sat there all night, she slowly made her way to one of the couches in the main area of her quarters.
Varya gingerly sat down on the couch and Ebari could instantly tell that she was on edge.
"What did you need?" Varya asked, acting like she didn't remember.
Ebari gave a sigh. His arms were crossed but he quickly relaxed. He couldn't keep up the facade that he was going to push her to reveal something to him that was difficult for her.
