He was in wonder as to what that quest could be. She wanted to send him on a quest. It meant she dimmed him fit enough to be accorded such an important assignment.

He liked that she was paying attention to him. He really liked it.

"What quest?" he asked her, to be sure.

To know— to be prepared, to not disappoint her.

Catherine seemed like she wasn't ready to tell him that yet.

"Soon, dear Asher. You will find out just soon." she breathed into his neck.

Her breath was like a light part of him with heavy impact. Why was everything about her seeming so familiar? So— so him?

She did mention he was an original male Chameleon and she was the female. The bond of being almost one was so overwhelming and having a huge impact on him.

He felt so driven into her.

The sound of her standing up sent his thoughts on a marathon.
