"Here, check it out" Calliope raised the paper drawing in her hand up for them all to see.

August was the one who answered her " Yes, yes, we've seen it before that someone drew dear weak Rune" he scoffed at Calliope, and with a corner of his eyes, he observed Rune's movement, anticipating that her next move would be to spank him or something similar to that.

He was right, " Who are you calling weak August?" Rune fumed and made to give him a spank on the head but he skillfully dodged it.

"Now August, we all know Rune is stronger than your weak ass. Both of you quit being babies and allow Calliope finish " Amadio said slowly with a hint of irritation in his tone.

Rune beamed with a smile at Amadio's interjection but it didn't seem to please August. But before he could talk, Farris shook his head and spoke to Calliope directly.

" What's new in the paper drawing now?" he frowned.

Calliope, finally getting a chance to finish her presentation turned the paper over with a slight bow.." Allow me present to you the nature family's note to dear sneaky boy next door" she said proudly as if she was making a grand presentation to a mob of people.

" What note, no one told me to sign" Vidal raised his shoulders.

" I signed on everyone's behalf. Here.." she handed the paper drawing to Farris and he read out the writing scribbled by Calliope that was on the paper. " What do you know? Signed by the nature family" he exhaled when he finished. " So we return it back to him?" he asked Calliope. She was the one in charge now, it was her idea.

Again, Calliope bowed, and her Italian accent filled the whole large sitting room " Yes, one of us would take the note to him while the rest of us wait and watch out for his reaction" she explained.

Luna rushed to her immediately and gave her a loving pat on her shoulder with a big smile as usual " Nice job Calliope! I never knew the original bird was a clever one" she said and immediately returned to her standing position beside Amadio.

Rune couldn't help but secretly shake her head. What was so clever about what Calliope did right now?

" Of course, Bella signora, we birds are one of a kind" she bowed again.

Now, Rune stomped her legs on the floor. Calliope her friend was a loud one!

What Fender said next made all her suppressed laughter bolt out. " Seems more like a proud silly goose to me" he flickered his left hand into the air.

Fender was not the type to attack anybody else verbally except Rune and Gizem nor was Rune the type to laugh at his words but Calliope's pride over such a trivial thing caused it.

She saw everyone's eyes on her as she laughed which made her go silent abruptly. Fender's gaze was the most uninviting as he scoffed mockingly "Cats" he spat.

" Who gave the squeaky cat the guts to talk" Calliope fired at Fender " I am but the eagle, the king of birds, allow me..."

" Flaunt.. Yes Calliope, we've heard that many times now. Please say something else" Rune quickly chirped in, she was used to Calliope's braggings now.

"Enough already, who is taking the drawing back to him?" Amadio almost shouted but he was not the type to raise his voice. Amadio's outburst caused the whole sitting room to go silent. And then, all eyes turned to Vidal.

"What?!" he barked when he saw all their eyes on him. He was always the one sent to do the stupid meager works and he didn't like it.

Farris stated matter of factly as if Vidal was supposed to know even before being asked. "Come on Vidal, get to it already" he ordered.

Before Vidal could protest again. " Come on buddy, you have a natural charm, and your charm works well with strangers. None among us could match your charm" August pacified him even though he knew Vidal wasn't always sent on lame works because he had a natural charm.

As if those were the words Vidal was waiting for, he exhaled loudly and kept his two hands on his waist " Well, I guess it's up to Vidal to save the day" he smiled proudly and then, " Follow my lead" he instructed the others and went out of the house while the others trail behind.

Immediately they were outside the fence of the building, Vidal paused a bit, acting like the hero he said he was " You all stay a fair distance away, I will go knock on the door" he instructed yet again and proceeded to knocking on LSR's door.

He knocked on and on but got no response. He had little patience for such, almost all the originals could not endure humans who they considered lower than them delaying them.

After a series of knocking, he stormed back to the others in frustration.

" What happened?" Luna's question welcomed him as soon as he got to the others.

He threw his hands up listlessly in the air " I don't think there is anybody in that house. I kept on knocking and got no responses" he fumed.

Farris scolded him impatiently, he hates it when he had to correct the others on something they were supposed to know. " Have you checked for heartbeats in the house? Shouldn't you have used your dumb pointy ears to listen for any moments at all?" he said sternly.

Vital rolled his eyes, Farris was being Farris again. That bald black grumpy man! " Okay, okay, my bad " he shook his head and walked back to the house. This time, he did not knock on the door. He stood quietly and with his ability, he listened for heartbeats or movements.

And then, he heard it!

There was a beating heart in the house. He also heard some noises as if someone was struggling with something. The boy next door must be mannerless to not know to get the door when he heard knocks. " Crazy humans..!" He spat and walked back to the others. " There is a person in the house" he quickly announced before they drown him with their questions.

" It's him" Rune said, she had seen him earlier and she knew he must be the one in the house.

Fender was the one who replied to her this time " So, since it's him what do we do about that? Wail and cry to dear good God?" he scoffed and Rune shot him a deadly gaze before deciding to ignore the rat before he rats her ears out.

On the road were vehicles moving but scarce too. This was the most silent part of Orange City. " If he won't open the door then I bet he knows something. He's afraid I think. Or what do you think la mia gente?" Calliope said to all their hearings.

" I think you are right " Luna answered her " And enough of the Italian" she added.

" But he won't open the door" Gizem muttered more to herself but everyone heard her.

" That's why we won't go with the rules. We don't have to use the door" August who had been silent since finally said and the words he said were savagery.

Luna's loud gasp filled their ears. Luna, was always too dramatic. " You don't mean wr should break in do you? That is punishable by the law. He could call the cops on us. We only just got here, we cannot be termed bad guys again" she shook her head, opposing August's idea.

" What law could punish originals?" Calliope said to Luna sarcastically.

Farris was getting frustrated again, they never do things in peace without a fight. They must always argue and argue till they wasted time and could not do the needful. One of the reasons why they had to hide from the wild now. " If you support breaking in please put your hands up. We will vote and whichever idea wins would be the one to be followed" he announced to the others. He liked to collectively weigh everyone's opinions before deciding the leader. They were a family, not a community.

Hands shot in the air and it was all their hands including Farris himself except Luna of course.

Luna seemed stupified and she turned her gaze to Amadio. She was completely smitten Amadio wanted them to break in too.

" Don't look at me like that. If the lad was a member of the wild, we would all be in trouble. Considering Rune's condition, we have no time left to wait. Before the wild finds us at least we should have seen the cure by then" he said, avoiding Luna's gaze.

Luna seemed not to be convinced " But.. But there could be other ways, I mean.." she was saying but got cut short by August.

" Please save the lovers gibberish for later. Commitments irks me, seeing people who are committed display affection irks me even more" he blurted.

" Dirty womanizer" Luna passed her aggression on him but he said nothing to her and to Vidal instead " Please, get to work now dear hero, we will be waiting" he said.

Vital nodded and walked back to the house.

" You could use the window opposite out garden. I think that's where his room is. It is opened too. All you need to do is jump in" Rune said behind him and he turned back to face her.

With a wink, " Okay!" he clicked his tongue and walked away in direction of LSR's room.

The others waited behind and watched him survey the window before jumping on it and going in.
