"They are both Xia Ru's father and uncle. As Xia Ru's boyfriend, you didn't buy them gifts or give them money; you just packed some food for them. Are you still reluctant?"
Wen Shu grimaced and said stiffly, "Of course not."
The menu had now reached Uncle Chen's hands, and he ordered a meat dish and a vegetarian dish without hesitation. He added, "I've never had a chance to eat such expensive food before. Now that I'm here, I'd like to order two dishes I enjoy."
Uncle Chen looked at Wen Shu and asked, "You don't mind me ordering so much, do you?"
Wen Shu struggled to respond, "Of course not. You're our elder, and it's perfectly fine to order. Even if we can't finish it, we can take the leftovers home."
When the menu reached Xia Chen, he only ordered a soup, and Wen Shu didn't order anything at all.
Xia Ru sensed that Wen Shu was now upset, so she refrained from ordering dishes and instead asked for a pot of tea.
