"Looks like your second spring is coming. Is there anyone else in her family?" Wesley asked.
"Her parents live in Europe. She's British and has been in the United States for several years." Carlos poured a glass of milk and put it in a ceramic cup. Then he put it in the microwave to heat it up. The renovation company helped buy the appliances. A full set of appliances.
"Not bad, but I think I'll check her identity. If there's no problem, you can date her." Wesley picked up the lettuce and ham between two slices of bread, then picked up the salad dressing and touched it.
"Do you suspect there's something wrong with her?" Carlos wasn't surprised.
"It's not a suspicion, but it's necessary. Our identities are special, and my job is special now, so it's not wrong to be careful. And I need to be careful about her name and her knowledge of flowers, right?" Wesley noticed this woman from the beginning. Everything about her seemed to be similar to his mother. If someone really used this to get close to him and Carlos, then that person is dead, no matter who he is.
"Okay, I think it's also necessary. Investigate it carefully. If there is indeed a problem, then I will pick up the gun again." Carlos said it calmly. Wesley knows that a top-notch assassin would not trust a person so quickly, especially some special people. Carlos and she are developing very quickly and are probably investigating something.
Early the next morning, Wesley received a call that his new credentials had been amended. He was now a Level Three Special Agent, and Wesley drove to the precinct.
"Congratulations, Agent Wesley. This is your new ID. Now you are officially a member of S.H.I.E.L.D. At present, you have no mission. Your direct leader, Agent Phil Coulson, you only need to wait for his order." The instructor handed Wesley his new ID.
"Thank you, Instructor. I'm finally free of my internship. Goodbye." Wesley left and checked his ID on his sports car to make sure there was no electronic device inside. Then he put it away.
Taking out the confidential phone, he called Phil Coulson. "I have officially become a level three agent. I am reporting to you now. Any instructions?"
"Don't worry, you'll be promoted soon. It's hard to say over the phone. I have something to deal with now. You don't have a mission at the moment. Just go back and wait for the news." Wesley doesn't know what Phil Coulson is busy with, but it should have something to do with Stark. His body is in bad shape now, and the poisoning will get worse. SHIELD is busy with his things now.
Wesley returned home, took out his notebook, logged into the S.H.I.E.L.D. database, and began to look up Alice.
The database was connected to national intelligence agencies, election registration records, police department databases, and so on. It was possible to find information about everyone in the United States here. Wesley looked at the information that appeared. Alice Roy, thirty-two years old, a British immigrant, came to the United States to live alone at the age of twenty-five. She studied oil painting in the United Kingdom and dreamed of becoming a painter, but she did not become famous in the United States. Although some of her works had been sold, the price was not high. She had been working and sticking to her dream.
There didn't seem to be the slightest problem. And she wasn't the only child of her parents. There was a younger brother and a younger sister, both living in England now.
It was actually possible to obtain information from the United Kingdom. The new ID was indeed powerful. Although it was only the authority of a level-three agent, it was actually so easy to find civilian information. There was no problem with the information about Alice Roy's family, but it was not important. If the surface information was not done well, then there was no right to lurk around the father and son.
He picked up the phone and dialed directly. This time, he called Maria Hill. "Hi, beautiful."
"Oh, handsome, did you miss me?" Hill's flirtation stunned Wesley for a moment, but he did not show it on the phone. "Yes, isn't thinking about beautiful women what every man should do?"
"Not bad, but are you in Washington now? Or will you fly straight over and buy me dinner?"
"I'm afraid I'll have to wait a few days. I just finished my exam today. I called to ask for help from a beautiful woman to see how I am in your heart." Wesley followed Hill's words.
Hill's teasing just now stunned Wesley. The two of them shouldn't have reached this point, but since the other party said so, he went along with it. They acted as if they were very ambiguous.
"Well, I knew you had something to say. Say it!" Maria Hill asked.
"You should have my situation here. I need to know more about Alice Roy's situation," Wesley said directly. He did not believe that SHIELD did not monitor his situation here.
"Okay, no problem. We're also investigating, but it's not going very well. We want to try to make sure that not too many people know about you. We have a team of agents under S.H.I.E.L.D., but they are not part of S.H.I.E.L.D. You understand?"
"Okay, I understand. It seems that your internal situation is not very peaceful. What is the specific situation?"
"We don't know that either. It's just a suspicion now. There's not the slightest evidence," Maria Hill whispered.
"Understood, so am I in the organization?"
"Yes, you are inside the organization. We hope that you can find out something when you have the chance."
"Why are you telling me this? Why didn't Phil say anything?"
"We didn't want to say it now, but since you called me, then… I think it's better to tell you, and I agree to your dinner invitation."
"A honey trap? Okay, I fell for it, but I don't want my father to be involved. He's retired. If he's involved, I'll kill whoever it is. That's it."
Maria Hill put down the phone and then called Nick Fury. "Wesley called. He asked me to help him find information on Alice Roy and make sure there's nothing wrong with this woman."
"We can't guarantee that. It seems that we can't guarantee anything internally now."
"I told him about the internal problems. If he has a chance, he will check it."
"Do you mean someone will contact him?"
"I'm not sure."
"How did you convince him?"
"I agreed to his dinner invitation."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, he's handsome, isn't he? I'm still single!" Hill put down the phone.
Wesley sat on the sofa in the living room, holding the phone in his hand and thinking. Hydra had turned SHIELD upside down and even disbanded in the end. Many SHIELD agents could only act in secret, including Phil Coulson, who had come back from the dead. Should he change something?
