In an instant, Malfoy's body was turned upside down, suspended in mid-air above the pitch, his voluminous robes dragging on the ground in reverse gravity.
"What have you done to me? Put me down!" Malfoy screamed in terror.
Several Slytherin students came forward and pulled at his robes and clothes, trying to pull him off, but to no avail. They even tore Malfoy's sweater and robes…
Marcus waved his wand, trying to lift Malfoy's curse.
However, Malfoy remained in mid-air as a magical light flashed, and even began to rock from the instability of the spell.
"That's enough, don't touch me!" Malfoy was furious with the unhelpful Slytherins, and covered the holes in his clothes with both hands.
The Gryffindor team was appeased by Malfoy's sorry state, and George patted Ivan on the shoulder.
"Ivan, good for you. What kind of magic is this? It looks like fun…"
Yvonne was about to explain when Marcus stepped forward and scolded her. "Hales! How dare you cast a spell on Malfoy? Put him down!"
Ivan shrugged, not caring about Marcus's words at all.
"What are you waiting for? Get in there!" Malfoy screamed at the Slytherins, who were staring at him angrily.
Marcus hesitated, but the Slytherins behind him, for the sake of their new brooms, pointed their wands at Ivan, and the lights of various charms flew out.
"An incisor!"
"Tongue Lock!"
"Thunderbolt Tap Dance!"
…
Despite their misgivings, no one dared to cast a spell of destruction.
However, being hit by a bunch of jinxes was clearly not going to end well.
The Gryffindor team members did not expect their opponent to attack so suddenly, and were too slow to react. By the time they pulled out their wands to support Ivan, all kinds of charms were already hitting him.
"Ivan!" Hermione shrieked in concern, but her expression quickly turned to shock, her brown eyes wide with disbelief as she stared at the scene before her.
As the spells closed in, a barrier of magic appeared around Ivan, and when the spells touched him, they all went back the way they came…
The multi-coloured magical rays shot into the Slytherin camp at an even greater speed, and all of the young wizards who had tried to cast the spell were out of luck.
A Slytherin boy's body started to tap-dance uncontrollably, and the rest of them were having a bad time. Several of them had front teeth that reached their chins, and some had nasty pustules on their faces…
"You…" Marcus drew his wand and pointed it at Ivan, but hesitated, as the Slytherins behind him had set a good example.
"I didn't do it this time!" said Ivan, throwing up his hands to show that he hadn't done anything.
Ivan, however, thought better of it and, not wanting to make a big deal out of it, used his wand to undo the effects of Slytherin's magic, leaving Malfoy alone.
The Slytherins, having made a fool of themselves, looked at Ivan with a mixture of anger and fear.
It was only then that they recalled the rumours circulating around the school. Their previous Defence Against the Dark Arts professor, Chino, was said to have been blown to smithereens by this young wizard…
After intimidating the Slytherin students, Ivan breathed a sigh of relief as the ring on his left finger dimmed.
Using the protective ring to reflect five spells in a row had already reached the limit of this protective tool.
This was also because these charms were generally not very strong, otherwise they might not have been able to resist.
Ivan turned to Malfoy, who was suspended in mid-air.
"I suggest you apologize to Hermione, or you may have to hang yourself for the rest of the day, or at least imagine that someone can save you…"
Malfoy's face flushed as he was stared at.
As a proud pure-blood, Malfoy would rather die than admit his mistake to a Mudblood, and even threatened to tell old Malfoy and Snape about it and expel Ivan from Hogwarts!
"Are you sure?" Yvonne's expression was strange, and if his memory served him correctly, Snape was the one who could not tolerate the insulting term "Mudblood."
It was because of Snape's words that Lily, who had been close to him, broke off all ties with him and began to date Harry's father, James Potter.
If Malfoy were to tell Snape about this, he would probably get a beating…
However, Ivan had a feeling that something was wrong as he watched Malfoy hanging in the air.
Why was this scene so much like Snape remembered?
A Muggle girl, an upside-down clock, and Malfoy as Slytherin would have been perfect…
Ivan's expression grew strange as he looked around. Thankfully, Snape was not there, or he would not have been able to explain himself.
Snape might even come up with a love triangle…
That would be horrible …
Ivan shuddered and quickly put his thoughts on hold. He punished Malfoy, unlike James and the others in the book, who deliberately teased Snape.
Snape deserved sympathy for being bullied as a child due to his solitary personality.
Even Ivan had to admit that James Potter, Harry's father, had done something terrible in this matter.
Malfoy, however, had it coming… and needed to be made to change.
With that in mind, Ivan addressed Malfoy.
"Professor Snape is not here at the moment. Besides, you'd better think about what you've just said. If any of the other professors hear you, you'll be put on house arrest.
I think Professor Snape is no different. If you don't want your life, you can try it sometime…"
Ivan took a few steps towards Malfoy and spoke again. "As for now, apologize to Hermione!"
Malfoy looked like he would rather die than admit defeat, but as Ivan drew closer, he looked around frantically for a little security.
However, when the Slytherins surrounding him saw Ivan approaching, they instinctively took a few steps back…
