303. A Dead Rat

It was already past midnight when they went over the castle walls. They were huge walls and it was obvious someone was trying desperately hard to keep something out.

Jael smirked to himself as he landed on the soft grass but winced when he stood to his full height. Sitting on the bare floor was definitely not ideal. Coupled with the fact that all he could smell throughout the day was rotten fruits.

He had not been able to sleep a wink and had ended up just sitting in the corner. From the headache he was feeling, he should have tried really hard to sleep.

However even if the foodstuffs and the uncomfortable makeshift of a bed which was basically just a piece of blanket on the floor hadn't been a problem for him, the constant noise in the house was more than enough to drive away every wink of sleep.
