'I Might Love Him Back..'

"You know, I can fix this." She told him. "Somehow…I will get your memories back."

"How?" He asked.

"I don't know." She told him. "But, I will."

"You are just the best, Caroline." He smiled.

"That would be flattering if I weren't the only person you know."

"That's true!" He laughed.

She opened the doors.

"Come on in." She told him.

"I would have to leave when your students come back." He asked. "I would have to leave, wouldn't I?"

He asked.

"You can move into my house for a while." She told him, "Till, you know you can get yourself on your feet."

"A job?" He asked. "Why?"

"What do you mean why?" She asked.

"Can't I compel something?" He asked.

"Sure." She sighed.

It had always been difficult to explain to the vampires that stealing was still wrong.

"You can take a room." She told him. "Right past the corridor."

"I think I might stay down here for a while." He looked at the books in the library. He had seen one with his name earlier.

"Is that okay?"

"Sure." Caroline shrugged.

She needed to do something. She rushed upstairs. She climbed out the window of her room, and ran to the end of the town.

She called Hayley.

"Hey, Caroline….." She yawned. "How are you calling at this hour?"

"It's him." Caroline said quickly. "He's here…In Mystic Falls."

"Who is?" Hayley was confused.

"Klaus."

"Klaus?" Hayley became angry. "I am…What the hell is doing here?"

She sat up.

"I don't want to see him." She told Caroline. "We have nothing to do with him."

"We?" Caroline raised her eyebrows. "Whose we?"

"Me and Elijah." She said, "Hope, ofcourse!"

"He's her father, Hayley!" She almost shouted. "Her father."

"Fathers are those who are present!" Hayley almost shouted. "And Elijah was present!"

"You didn't." Caroline had to sit down on the footpath to take all of that. "You didn't tell her that Elijah was her father."

"I did."

"No…." Caroline whispered. Horrified.

"Klaus is…."

"He doesn't know it!" Caroline yelled at him. "He has no memory!"

"What?"

"You can't do this to him, Hayley."

"If he doesn't remember her." Hayley told her. "If he doesn't remember! Then, let it be that way."

"What?" She shouted. "I can not do that to Klaus!"

"He isn't Klaus, any more, is he?" Hayley asked. "Then, why does it matter?"

"Because even in his state!" She shouted. "He still loves me! And, I can't just ignore that!"

"Wait, what?" Hayley asked. "Why not?"

"Because, I might just love him back!"

"WHAT?"

Caroline didn't know what to say when she had admitted something she wasn't even aware about.

She turned off the phone and laid back. If anyone saw her…they wouldn't believe it was Caroline. She was lying on the side of the road.

"What is the matter with you, Caroline!" She murmured.

She raised her hand in the air and looked at her wedding ring. "Yeah…You know me, Stefan."

She looked up at the sky. Stars flashed at her.

"You tell me, what do I do?" She asked him. "What the hell do I do?"

He stood right in front of her. He didn't know what to say, because he knew even though he could see her, she couldn't. He was there every time she called.

"Caroline…" He knelt beside her. "He loves you, Caroline….Help him. And don't run from him when his memory returns."

She closed her eyes.

"You deserve love, Caroline." He told her.

She couldn't hear him. She never did.
