[ 2 Weeks In the Darkness ]
'...I have deduced based on what I feel that I am surely unconscious... no, that's not the right word. It would be more appropriate to say that my consciousness is somehow disconnected from my body... I know I have a body but I can't move and I can't see anything... it's like I am frozen.'

'Sooooooooo booooooriingg here... bruhhhhh...'
For the past hundreds and thousands of hours that she spent here in this pitch black dark place, she already went and did whatever came to her mind just to relieve her boredom. Whether it be singing, reviewing whatever she knew or even just fantasizing snu snu with Julie— ahem! She did it all! Just so she can stay awake.

'.....FUCK!!! I almost lost consciousness!'
Nathalia composed herself as she roused herself to wake up.
'One time... I almost fell asleep. That was quite dangerous. I don't know what would happen to me if I ever fell asleep. Would I permanently die? I'd rather stay in this darkness forever conscious rather than sleep and fall into a state of true death.'
She focused herself and tried her hardest to get a grip of herself, not letting herself to fall unconscious under the assumption that the moment she lost her grip... it's the end for her.
It's better to assume the worst lest she get blindsided and die for real.
As Nathalia waited and waited in this static black void, trying her best to not lose consciousness, she finally heard an unnatural crack sound reverberate through the void instead of the usual creepy silence.
'Hmm? This—?!'
As Nathalia subconsciously tried to look around amidst the darkness, she surprisingly heard that cracking sound again... as she felt her neck stiffly move according to her mind.
Then, came the first ray of light as she felt stone fragments fall off from her face. With joy and undescribable happiness, she stood up from her laying position as stone fragments continually fall off from her body.
"AT LAST!!! PUT TANK IN A MALL!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!! IM FREEEE!!!"
Nathalia shouted at the top of her lungs, without anything in her mind but pure joy and relief for finally being out of that seemingly infinitely dark void.
"HAHAHAHAHA— Wait! Fuck!"
Her laughter was cut short when she remembered something, the sniper! She then looked around frantically to find cover but her face froze when she saw her surroundings.
With rationality finally coming back to her, she finally realized that her surroundings were completely different from their penthouse in Queens.
She is standing on top of a king sized royal bed with lavish medieval decorations around the room, like royal bedrooms for the royalty of England.
"Where the fuck is this? Isekai? Again?"
Nathalia jumped down from the bed and noticed that above her skin (or rather stone skin), she had been wearing a thin silk sleeping dress. Ignoring the obvious abnormality, she sprinted to the balcony to take a look outside.
Alas, what greeted her sight was a shocking sight.
Ruins. She saw ruined buildings from afar, collapsed roads, cars that were destroyed after collision or explosion, and the statue of liberty... whose left torso was cleaved off.
Nathalia looked at the apocalyptic sight in front of her and couldn't help but question herself if this is her world or another.
"How's your nap, sleeping beauty?"
Just then, she suddenly heard a familiar voice behind her, shocking her as she felt herself shudder in anticipation and excitement while she looked at the person behind her.
As soon as she turned around, she saw a familiar face she'll never forget. Her eyes unknowingly teared up as she looked at her... the friend that she lost so many years ago.
"Hey, hey, don't cry. I'm here now, what are you a child?" Julienne showed her a wry smile as she spoke with a mocking tone, making Nathalia subconsciously giggle.
She rubbed her eyes and shook her head while saying, "I'm not... I'm just, so glad that you're okay now."
Julienne smiled at her words and grabbed her hands before dragging her out of the room saying, "Let's go eat something first, I know that you're pretty hungry after being in that darkness for so long."
When Julienne said that, Nathalia remembered her situation for who knows how long. Her expression grew solemn and asked her friend.
"What really happened, Julienne?"
Hearing her question, Julienne just faintly smiled and said, "I'll tell you over breakfast. Then I'll let you meet them."
"Them? Who?" Nathalia tilted her head in confusion.
To which Julienne just laughed and replied, "You will know later, Nathalia."
'The other half of my heart...'
And so began a new chapter for the life of our protagonist, in this ruined apocalyptic world. Will they surpass their predicament and come to learn of the reason for that mysterious light? In the next episode of Dragon Ba—
