Center of attention

Reaching school the next week and walking to his class, Kiran could see Mikey and Caleb already present and was exchanging words with each other as he approached them.

"So what's the matter, guys?" Asked Kiran as he drop his bag and sit beside them.

"Well, Caleb is just telling me about a new student in martial art class" replied Mikey. "Probably saying he's very skillful".

"Did you have a fight with him?" Asked Kiran as he sat beside them.

"Yes I did, and you two would be in a big surprise when you challenge him on Friday" replied Caleb.

"What was the outcome between you two?" Asked Kiran as he look at Caleb.

"Not to lie, I lost fairly quickly" replied Caleb.

"Wait, if you lost to him that quickly, then I'm sure Kiran wouldn't be able to beat him easily" said Mikey.

"More like Kiran wouldn't be able to last two minutes against him" said Caleb.

"Please, I'm not as lazy as you, don't use me to console yourself" said Kiran as he pat his back.

"How about we all bet on it, I bet you won't be able to last five minutes against him" said Caleb.

"You know I don't like betting, but I will take you on your offer" replied Kiran.

"I will stay with Caleb on this one, I do believe in your capacity Kiran, but I do trust Caleb judgement and I know he wouldn't just bet unless he knows what he's betting on" said Mikey.

"Well then suit yourself, make sure both of you keep your end of the deal when I win" replied Kiran.

"It's been long I try my fighting techniques, how about we all go for a round after school?" Suggested Mikey.

"Not a bad idea" replied Caleb before looking at Kiran to hear his answer.

"Not sure I will participate, you two can go on" said Kiran. 'At this state I'm in right now, I'm not sure I can be able to control myself and I don't want to end up hurting any of them'.

"Come on dude, it's just a warm up match before the big day, I just want to check if I still have my moves" said Mikey.

"You still have it, fighting isn't something that just leave your body all of a sudden" replied Kiran. "I will spectate the match between you".

"That's different….." said Mikey but couldn't complete his words as the teacher walked inside.

"Good morning class" greeted the teacher as she drop her books on the desk before walking straight to the board.

During the whole of the lesson, Kiran wasn't acting like himself as he didn't answer any of the questions presented by the teacher.

Not that the questions were asked directly to him, but he has always been someone who was active in all of the lessons and every teacher in the school know of that, but seeing now as he was dormant for some weeks now and wasn't answering any questions, made almost all the teachers to make him a center of attention by personally asking him questions which he got correctly.

'This isn't like you to keep your hands down when you know the answers' said the teachers to themselves inwardly.

"Seems the teachers are suspicious of your unusual behavior, this isn't like you to be inactive in class, what's up?" Asked Mikey after their lessons for the day was over.

"It's nothing, just have a lot on my mind that's why I was lost in class" replied Kiran as they walked out of the school building.

"You know we always got your back right?, so if you need anything or have anything to tell us feel free to do so" said Caleb.

"I know guys, but I'm okay" replied Kiran as he continue walking.

"Hope you haven't forgotten about the training at my place today?" asked Mikey as he could see his driver waiting for him.

"I haven't, I will be there after doing my things, what's the time again?" asked Kiran.

"Really dude, how can you forget that so soon, it's five" replied Mikey.

"Don't worry he will be there, I will pick him up so we two can come together" said Caleb.

"Just to remind you two for the second time, I don't have any plans on fighting, just there to spectate the match" replied Kiran so as to clear any thought of them thinking he was going to train.

"You said that already, I'm off" said Caleb before walking towards his car that was waiting for him.

"See you later dude" said Mikey to Kiran before walking towards his car.

Seeing as his mom was here, he walked towards her before entering the car and driving home.

"I will be going to Mikey's place around five in the evening, hope you don't mind?" Asked Kiran as they got home.

"Not at all, but make sure to come home early" replied Jenny as she walked to her room.

Nodding his head, he walked towards his room so as to take his bath and relax from the stress of today lessons.

Being the center of attention today in class wasn't what he expected, the only joy he got from the various teacher bombarding him with question was that he got them all correctly.

Looking at himself in the mirror when taking his bath, he could see his tense muscle which was bulging even without him applying force.

'I haven't really practice for some time now, fighting with Caleb and Mikey doesn't seems to be a bad idea to text out this new body of mine' said Kiran inwardly.

Waiting from some time after taking his bath, he walked downstairs so as to get something to eat.

Hearing the bell ringing, he look at the CCTV camera to check who it was before opening the door.

"Don't tell me it's five already" said Kiran as he look at Caleb.

"It's five" replied Caleb as he walked inside.

'What have I been doing for the past two hours now' asked Kiran to himself as he look at the wall clock which was five.
