Chapter 155: End of Course (Edited)

Early the next morning, Harry, who had only slept three or four hours until the early hours of the morning, jumped out of bed and ran to the Common Room.

Then, he was stopped by Madam Pomfrey.

She carefully checked Harry's condition, and after giving him another potion with a strange taste and color, let him go.

So Harry, with boils on his face, went back to his room and dragged Ron, who was still sound asleep, out of bed.

A sleepy-eyed Ron was dragged helplessly into a corner of the Common Room by his best friend, and then began repeating to him the truth that Dumbledore had told him earlier.

"Was it really Quirrell who did this to me on the Quidditch pitch, and not Snape?"

Harry Potter would never have believed it except that Ron assured him under oath and from his strange experience the night before...that Snape would save him. What kind of April Fool's Day prank is this?

"Yes," Ron had actually had a strong sense of unreality about it too, so he could understand Harry's feelings perfectly, "And according to Dumbledore, Snape was in charge of keeping an eye on Quirrell from the beginning."

"That's why I heard Snape warning Quirrell... Wasn't asking how to get through the level.... And his foot was bitten off by Fluffy for stopping Quirrell..." Harry's expression was very complicated.

It was hard to believe, but it all related to something he had encountered earlier, and made Harry admit that Snape was actually hardly a good person.

"That's right, Hermione has actually felt some inconsistencies, hasn't she?"

Hearing Ron's involuntary words, Harry suddenly felt a little embarrassed. He had been furious with Hermione for her guess....

"Wait!" Harry suddenly remembered something, "If Quirrell's identity has been discovered by Fish and he has escaped Hogwarts, then why did Dumbledore lure us to break into the levels?"

Ron's expression instantly turned strange.

"Dumbledore said... that he and the professors had gone to so much trouble to set up these levels that it would be a shame not to use them all at once, and as we misunderstood Snape, this was an exercise and a lesson... and so that the preparation wouldn't go to waste."

Harry: "..."

If Dumbledore wasn't the headmaster, he would've put a curse on him.

"Hey, mate, think about it." Ron, who had only taken a bump on the head, didn't take too long to come to terms with it and patted Harry on the shoulder, "At least it was a good adventure, right? And you didn't end up facing Quirrell, who really wanted you dead."

"I'd rather he was the one you'd be dealing with." Harry grimaced and told Ron about his experience in the last room.

"Wow..."

Ron's mouth dropped open, he hadn't expected Harry to be treated so badly, after seeing Harry walk out alive, he had thought Snape had just cast a Boil hex on Harry.

The two were silent for a while, before Ron reached over and patted Harry on the shoulder again.

"At least you're alive, right?"

Ron said reluctantly, then slumped back and sighed, "Well, I didn't think I hated you that much, but why would I want to protect you?"

"How should I know?"

Harry rolled his eyes in disgust and decided to ask Dumbledore later.

The affair ended quietly, Harry and the others told no one about their adventure, and Fish was having so much fun all day that he had long forgotten about it.

Afterwards, Harry had a chat with Dumbledore about Snape and Voldemort, and then it was time to get ready for his last Quidditch match of the term.

The House Cup was definitely out of the question for Gryffindor, but the Quidditch Cup was still up for grabs.

Gryffindor was still behind Slytherin, and as long as Harry caught the golden Snitch after all three Gryffindor Slayers scored sixty points, they would be the Gryffindor champions this year.

So all this time, Wood had Harry work on techniques to disrupt the opposing Seekers and prevent them from ending the game early.

Soon the final Quidditch match began with much excitement as most of the school watched the match because they no longer had to worry about schoolwork.

Of course, as usual, Fish was not there, as Professor McGonagall had given up trying to restrict his access to the Forbidden Forest, and did not require Hagrid to accompany him, the only requirement being that he lie down in his dormitory every day.

So all this time Fish was either in the Forbidden Forest, visiting other friends with Fluffy, who no longer needed to guard the Philosopher's Stone, or in the water playing with Kanaloa and the mermaids.

On the Quidditch side, thanks to the hard work of Harry and his teammates, Gryffindor had finally managed to overtake Slytherin in points and win the Hogwarts Quidditch Cup after many years.

This left all three houses, except Slytherin, in a state of jubilation....

Slytherin was the one that had held the House Cup and the Quidditch Cup for so many years.

It was in this joyous atmosphere that the Hogwarts end-of-term feast was about to begin.

"We're going to have a banquet again, nya!"?(●Φ﹃Φ●)?

The end of term banquet was said to be the same as the beginning of term banquet, which made the cat's mouth water.

So Fish arrived at the Great Dining Hall early and waited for the banquet to begin.

Soon the other students and teachers arrived, and the girls, as usual, were the first to gather around Fish.

Before the banquet began, the Great Dining Hall was decorated in the green and silver colors representing Slytherin, celebrating their seventh consecutive year of winning the House Cup. A huge banner with the Slytherin snake hung on the wall behind the guest of honor.

With Dumbledore's arrival, the noise in the Great Dining Hall quieted.

Dumbledore looked at the students and his eyes lingered on Fish a moment longer.

As much as he wanted to give the Cup to his own house, the number of points Fish had subtracted, and the number of points Snape had subtracted from Harry and the others, meant that his plan to use the Cup to give Harry, the Savior, a boost was probably not going to work.

Even Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw would be unconvinced if he would still play under the table, so Dumbledore could only abandon the idea and give Harry and the others a few points symbolically....

The main thing was that it made Gryffindor's house points seem to go up a bit.

It was good that Harry had helped Gryffindor win the Quidditch Cup this year, which was a relief.

After the banquet, everyone's final grades came out.

Although Fish enjoyed the sympathy of most of the professors, they did their job when it came to grading and Fish didn't score very high marks on all of his answers.

In the practicals, however, Fish stood out from the rest, scoring the highest marks on almost every exam, which made his final grade quite good.

Of course, whatever his grades, it never mattered to him.

When he received his report card, Fish just glanced at it and tossed it aside.

Isn't the most important thing right now summer vacation?

"Finally, I don't have to read books and do homework, nya!". ?(●ΦwΦ●)?

After dismissing the last student, Fish and Professor McGonagall, and Comey, who had long considered himself the McGonagall family's private elf, returned to their home in Hogsmeade once again.

As soon as they arrived home, Fish transformed back into his kitten form and began to wander around the house.

Then he heard Professor McGonagall's quiet voice sounding behind him.

"Did you forget that you still have to finish your summer homework, Fish?"

"Meow!" ∑(=ΦДΦ=)
