Kazuya could feel himself becoming something he wasn't—something he would detest and something he didn't want to be. With every letter of the curse mark gradually changing its color, he felt himself fading into obscurity.
He knew that if he didn't do something about it soon, he would lose himself to Maou's corruption. So in rebellion, Kazuya tightened his grip on his sword, and before Maou could even realize what was about to happen, he ran his sword through the Dark Lord's gut.
Maou widened his eyes as he looked down at his abdomen, now impaled by Kazuya's large sword. Blood poured out profusely from both sides, as well as from his mouth. Kazuya didn't lose grip of his sword, and he even tried to draw it upwards with all his might, attempting to cut the dark lord in half vertically.
