Theo and Catallina arrived at the door of Lord Elias' room. A sense of tension floated in the air when they saw the five guards at the ready, their weapons glowing in the light of the torches displayed on the walls of the room.
In a corner of the richly decorated room, there was an old man they recognized as General Dorgs, who stood beside Lord Elias as his protector. The seriousness of the situation was evident on their faces.
Catallina, without hesitation and with a firm voice full of anger, voiced her objection, "Lord Elias, what you are planning is an unforgivable crime!"
Lord Elias, who was sitting quietly behind a large table, looked at them sarcastically. He said in a cold voice, "What is it, princess? You come into my room without permission and immediately get angry. Do you not know your manners?"
Theo, who was standing beside Catallina, replied in a loud voice, "We've come to stop the cruel act you're going to commit tomorrow night! We know all about your plans!"
"Cruel act? What do you guys mean? Can't you explain more clearly?" Lord Ellias replied with feigned ignorance.
"No need! I've already heard about your plan from one of our spies. You will kill the victims to prevent the disease from spreading further! Are you still pretending not to know?" Catallina explained with emphasis on every word.
"How dare you!" snapped General Dorgs angrily. He was about to take his sword from its scabbard and attack them both, but Lord Ellias raised his hand and signaled him to stop. The general looked angry and confused.
Lord Ellias was silent for a moment, then he closed his eyes and let out a long breath. He said in a flat voice, "That's right...It's the result of a meeting of the city's elders, and all have agreed to this decision."
"Your decision will not create a solution, but a problem!" protested Theo loudly.
General Dorgs, who couldn't hide his anger anymore, said in a high tone, "You have no right to behave like this! We are trying to save this city from the threat of the plague!"
Catallina, still full of rage, replied angrily, "By killing people who have been infected by the plague? Is that the path you chose? Do you have no conscience?"
Inside this luxurious room, a heated battle of words ensued. Theo and Catallina faced Lord Elias, General Dorgs, and five other guards. They threw conflicting arguments at each other, with each side's feelings and resolve colliding amidst the tension that filled the room. They knew that this was a critical moment, and the future of Blanchill City depended on the outcome of this meeting.
Lord Elias, sitting behind a large table with a dismissive look on his face, continued, "You have no idea what we have faced. This is the only way to stop this plague. We have no other choice."
Theo and Catallina would not be deterred by Lord Elias' cold stare. They felt that they had enough evidence to prove that the extermination planned by the city officials was a big mistake, and they were determined to defend it.
Theo, with a firm and confident voice, tried to convince Lord Elias and General Dorgs, "We have information about the source of this plague and a way to treat it. We should try to save them, not kill them!"
Lord Ellias, who seemed to be sticking to his guns, replied stubbornly, "Nonsense! What medicine do you have? None of them can cure them. You're just making excuses to get in our way!"
The debate intensified, with opposing arguments filling the tense room. They knew that time was running out, and they had to take immediate action to stop the cruel plan that would be carried out tomorrow night. The atmosphere in the room grew more and more tense as the battle of words intensified.
"You have the cure!" said Theo.
Lord Elias, who was sitting behind a large table with authority pounding on the table, looked at them with a cold and cynical gaze. He said in a loud and angry voice, "Do you want to play games at this critical time? If we had a cure, this problem would be resolved quickly. The city medics will have no trouble dealing with this problem."
Catallina, undaunted by Lord Elias' words, replied with a contemptuous smile. She said in a sharp and mocking voice, "Don't you keep it in the city's storage warehouse? We know the place. We know what you're hiding there."
Lord Elias, shocked and annoyed at Catallina's words, replied with a sharp tone and a voice full of authority. He said in a cold and threatening voice, "You do not know what you are talking about. This is a secret that you must not know. You have broken the rules and disturbed the order of the city."
Catallina, without losing her nerve, retorted in a loud and passionate voice. She said in a firm and bold voice, "We just want to save the people from this catastrophe, Lord. Tell us what happened. Why did you hide the medicine? Why do you want to kill the people infected with the plague?"
However, Lord Elias was getting angrier and more agitated, his face flushed red as he cried out in a loud and emotional voice. He said in a loud and angry voice, "There is nothing for you to know! You're just making trouble and messing up our plans! You don't deserve to live in this city!"
Sternly, he ordered the loyal guards standing around him, "Finish them off! Don't let them out of this room!"
Catallina, with eyes that radiated firmness, expressed her determination in a loud and confident voice. She said in a loud and bold voice, "We will not let that happen! We will stop this plan! We will bring the medicine to the people who need it!"
The guards loyal to Lord Elias, without hesitation, immediately prepared to attack. With their shining weapons in hand, they stepped forward, surrounding Theo and Catallina, creating a deadly circle.
Theo, with an angry look in his eyes, looked at the guards with firmness. He said in a loud and challenging voice, "Kill us if you can! You won't be able to stop us!"
They both took their weapons from their waists and prepared to fight.
