For Chris's ego, it did feel good that despite how much effort he had put into his appearance to look unattractive, he had still been able to get the attention of the two women most guys in the school wanted. 

Rain Sato and Emily Calvin, whose father was a big shot here. 

"Trying to sound humble, eh?" Rachel teased. 

He turned to look at her again, sighing, "Geez. Let me be, Rachel! Those aren't my problems right now. I just want to study."

She snorted. "Others may think you are usually this studious. As if you are not Christopher Owen." She mocked. 

"Well, I intend to be very very studious." He replied. 

"So what are you going to do about Rain? Are you going to ditch her?"

He had been thinking about what to do about her invitation. He was torn. He wanted to get to know her, but he also wanted to stay away from her. 

The pair of twins were troubling him far more than he wished for.
