Chapter 182: Revealing it to the queen

|Author's note: I know updates have been slower lately, but it's because a lot of projects came up irl, I'm also participating in a competition with my new story, Re: The Last Rose, but it will be back to normal once my irl things are finished.|

Perseus POV

Well all that acting was exhausting, I then headed to Valentina's castle in order to pick her up after I told her that the Weaver of Calamity is at my dorm room since he wants to see her now.

But on my way there, I can feel more eyes than usual, I'm being watched, it seems like Tsukuyomi was right, he said to test whether these people who hold the jade fragments if they're reliable, it's a part of my tasks that they gave me, it seems like they're seeing me coming here as a confirmation that the Weaver of Calamity is also coming.

It seems that the the king is not as honest as the prince, or they're both just as dishonest, it's not like I'm better for working for the Mirage Legion, to get to a certain position, I had to do despicable things, some were making me walking on a really tight rope.

I head inside and despite barely feeling the eyes, it's still there even if it's much lesser than before. I met with Valentina where she brought me again to her office where we then closed all the curtains, we then created a solid illusion of us to sit and having a fake discussion.

She showed me this secret tunnel, we went in and the entranced closed behind us where I then finally use magic to open the curtains, we then descended the secret tunnel.

"Alright where is he?" Valentina asked once she arrived at the dorm room "Oh, hello, Diana, is he your teacher too?"

Lia was there too, I told her beforehand that I plan to tell Valentina my true rank since I'm close with her and she can help me in the long run and just needed her permission to bring her over.

"Oh, you wish that was the case." my sister chuckled as she drank her hot tea while Valentina was nervously sitting on our couch

"Is he sleeping?" Valentina asked "I though you said he wanted to see me quickly, I may be free today...but I don't want it to be too long now."

"He's here." I then jokingly pointed towards my heart

"He's dead?" she guessed

"No, he's here." I then pointed at my chest again

"Perseus, I love you, but there's only so much that I can tolerate." she responded

"Lia, please tell her that I'm not lying when I say the Weaver of Calamity is here."

"He's both the Weaver of Calamity and the Silver Prince." Lia revealed as she then went inside her room "I love drama, so I'll listen behind close doors.

She then shut her door.

Valentina's face on the her hand was experiencing several changes, I turned to my sister who mouthed 'hold her hands, you &$($^#^*'. I'll get her back later but I followed her advice as I was ready to face the wrath of a queen for tricking her and lying to her face many times.

"Please don't even deny it, I'm the Weaver of Calamity." I then showed my status screen and put my original nickname and rank for her to see.

Diana did the same for hers and sent her status screen over to show that she's the true 11th rank. before she could say anything, I showed the number 1 right under my eye to prove it.

"Ok, so I slept with the strongest and most handsome raider, great." she mumbled as she gripped my hand tightly "You got anymore secrets?"

"A couple, I told you more than I told my current partner, Lia, like she's not my love partner, you know, for climbing the tower...umm, well I got a few where it's only between me and my sister, but you probably know the 2nd most right about now."

"Can I strangle you for a bit?" Valentina asked

"I'm not...into that, you aren't either..."

"No, I just want to punish you in some way that doesn't involve me dying by your sister's hand because my preferred method would be to have my way with you. You scammed me to my face, how could you?!"

"That's a reward more than anything but go ahead, I deserve every bit of this." I replied as she then actually wrapped her very smooth and soft hands around my neck to which has no effect so I just talked my way through the 'pain' "Well I promise you to do any favor as the Weaver of Calamity, 1 favor to the best of my abilities."

"Diana, can I kiss him for a bit?" Valentina asked

"You're wasting your favor, yes it counts as a favor if you do it right in front of my face with expecting me to erase you from existence." Diana shrugged "Besides, we're already getting daily torture from our new teachers, the fact that we are even healing is a miracle."

"That's true, one of the most painful experiences of my life and it's happening in the present time, that's just tragic. Worst, we not only need this to survive in the future, but we literally asked for it by accepting their offer."

3rd person POV

The illusion of the queen and Perseus disappeared after a while, it means that Perseus spotted them, or...the Weaver knew and got them out quick by placing that illusion there for quite a while.

Their efforts were wasted, they planned to copy the Weaver of Calamity and make a superior version of him with the jade fragment, they are now trying their best to survey the nearby area or even secluded spots in the territory just in case the Weaver kidnapped her like he did with Farian.

...Unless, the Weaver was disguised as Perseus and with his superior magic, he bypassed security and then kidnapped her the moment they got into the office, what if he's like Draven the spatial lord who can bypass certain spatial disruption...either way, they have to now retreat, the Weaver of Calamity might know that they're there, and this isn't inside the tutorial floors, they might die.
