The Promise

The participants and Knights looked at one another while watching in confusion. They didn't get a hint since, in their eyes, Vicenzo was a Knight.

"What do you want?" Felissa asked. She didn't have anything to say, and tiredness washed over her. 

"I want to pay for my sins and show myself that I am worthy to stand by your side," Vicenzo explained and knelt on one knee. He respected Felissa as a leader aside from being his mate.

"Please, stand up," Felissa whispered and looked around. She didn't want to embarrass Vicenzo by submitting to her. 

Felissa's parents taught her that a Luna must always submit to the Alpha, and the Pack would follow. With that knowledge, she wanted to build the Midnight Pack that wouldn't tarnish Vicenzo's name as a weak Alpha, especially since his background was not significant in the noble's eyes.
