Luck

Feng Shuchun left after talking with Xu Yue for a few more minutes, leaving Xu Yue alone in her cave abode.

After her master had left, Xu Yue went to her bedroom. She then sat cross-legged on the bed and prepared to cultivate the Lesser Heaven Scrying art.

"Let's begin," thought Xu Yue as she began deeply thinking about the technique. As she did so, a large amount of information entered her mind once again.

As minutes turned into hours, Xu Yue continued pondering the technique, but nothing seemed to change.

After around two hours passed, Xu Yue got up and began training with the sword once again, picking up a new Heaven-Ranked sword art.

"I shouldn't worry about it, I will comprehend it eventually."

She then slowly took her mind off of the divination technique and started focusing on her sword technique for the next twenty hours. Xu Yue focused on her swordsmanship. After that, she took a short bath and went to sleep.

As she woke up, Xu Yue decided what she would do.

She then sat down cross-legged on her bed. A Taoist book from the Yin-Yang temple appeared in her hands. As she began pondering the Lesser Heaven Scrying art, she also flipped over the book on Taoism and began reading it.

"Did Master give me the wrong books?" asked herself Xu Yue as she read this book. Xu Yue did not understand why some things were written in it. As two hours passed, Xu Yue had somehow become even more confused.

The next day,

"This is gibberish!" shouted Xu Yue after reading the second book, forcing herself to calm down. Xu Yue did not throw the book at a wall. Unknown to Xu Yue, throwing the book at a wall would have delayed her by several months.

Two weeks later,

"It's changed," mumbled Xu Yue as she furrowed her brows.

After reading all of the books her master had given her, she then returned to the first one. After she finished reading it once again, Xu Yue had discovered that the content of the books had slightly changed.

Based on her memory, Xu Yue knew that some words had switched places and others had subtly transformed.

As she continued reading these books day after day, Xu Yue had discovered something. She felt as if the questions proposed in the book felt more personal.

Xu Yue felt like the books themselves were asking her questions.

Two months later,

Half a month ago, Xu Yue had reached Grand Completion in another Heaven-Ranked Sword art.

After reading these books a few times over, she temporarily stopped trying to comprehend the Lesser Heaven-Scrying art and began wholly focusing on comprehending these Taoist books.

"These were probably obtained from the Unrestrained faction of the Yin-Yang Temple, " thought Xu Yue as she took a bath while looking at the books half of the books standing in her spatial bag.

There are two large factions in the Yin-Yang Temple, and contrary to popular belief, they do not have anything to do with Yin and Yang.

The factions in the temple were not created because of differences in the Dao they cultivate, but rather in their Dao heart.

The differences in philosophy, over several billion years, had caused a small schism in the temple.

Five months later,

"Junior thanks senior for guidance," said Xu Yue before bowing to one of the books.

Around three months ago, Xu Yue somehow felt the writing in the book begin to align with what her thoughts were. She felt as if the book had actually begun teaching her.

She then put the book inside her spatial bag before going to practice the sword. In these five months, she had managed to master two Heaven-Ranked sword techniques and was close to a third.

inside of the book.

Inside of the book stood two old Taoist priests. One of them was playing Go against himself while the other was drinking from a jug of wine.

"It's a pity she isn't part of the temple," mumbled the drunk Taoist.

As he heard this, an angry look appeared on the other one's face.

"Why did I agree to become an artifact spirit with him?" thought the Calm Taoist as he looked at the Drunk Taoist with an angry look.

A day later,

Sitting crosslegged on her bed, Xu Yue began trying once again to comprehend the Lesser Heaven-Scrying art.

As Xu Yue sat began pondering the art, she began feeling lost in thought. It seemed as if two hours had passed in an instant, but Xu Yue did not care. As three days passed, it seemed as if something clicked in Xu Yue's mind.

As she regained her senses, Xu Yue felt like something had transformed in her. She knew that she had not reached the Soul Enlightenment realm.

After a while, Xu Yue then began to focus on Karma. She was then was extremely surprised. Compared with the last time she checked, the number of strings she could see had almost doubled.

"What!" shouted Xu Yue.

As she calmed down and realized what it was, she breathed a sigh of relief. An enormous Golden Dragon stood in front of Xu Yue. It seemed to stretch into infinity.

"The Origin Sword sect," mumbled Xu Yue as she looked at the dragon.

She then started floating over to the dragon and wanted to start examining it.

In an undisclosed location

As he felt a tiny existence trying to examine the luck of the sect, Xu Ming's spiritual sense immediately appeared there.

Seeing who it was, he breathed a sigh of relief that he did not annihilate it.

"Don't be naughty" said Xu Ming before flicking the being on her forehead.

"Don't be naughty " said a voice to Xu Yue as she found herself back in her room. She then felt a small amount of pain on her forehead.

Looking at his descendant, Xu Ming felt extremely satisfied, especially when comparing her to that grandson of his.

"Little Chou" mumbled Xu Ming as he remembered how annoying his grandson was.
