The tone of their voice gives it away.
They feel tired, and they don't feel particularly excited… even with ample amounts of sleep and rest.
And thus, remembering what I've read, I continue inquiring.
"Look, girls. How are you exactly feeling right now? Even a white lie won't get to me, you know."
With a resigned look on their faces, they divulge the truth.
"We feel... tired," Leigh begins.
"Even with enough sleep… it feels we're not absorbing energy like we want to," Aurora adds.
This is odd.
I exert practically the same amount of effort as them in the past few days, and I don't feel tired at all. Not in body nor soul.
So what's wrong with them?
After waiting for an hour, paying for the items, going home via public transportation, and then suddenly getting caught up with rain minutes before we get to the apartment, forcing us to huff it despite the risk of getting wet…
...looks like I'm getting my answer.
