Surprise Visit

"You can't be the same age as me. How old are you?" Selena asked Kanzaki looking both confused and extremely interested at the same time.

Kanzaki had no issue answering this since he made the comment, "I'm 20. You might be right actually, you might be younger than me." Kanzaki said as he put his hand on his chin in a thinking position while nodding his head over and over again.

Selena had a slight blush on her face below her sunglasses that wasn't visible to Kanzaki when she began talking once more, "Actually... I'm older than you." Selena said dropping a bomb on Kanzaki that left him absolutely speechless for multiple seconds.

"Older than me?! No way?! If you're older than me then I must still be in high school!" Kanzaki said freaking out at the fact that she was older than him. When Kanzaki realized that he was being over the top to a person he just met he quickly bowed his head before apologizing.

"Sorry about that. We just met and I'm already being rude." Kanzaki said apologizing before looking back up.

The blush had deepened on Selena's face but it still wasn't visible to Kanzaki while the grin on her face was definitely visible, "I'm 26 actually but don't worry about it. I know you didn't mean anything mean. That was actually nice of you to say, I'm normally told I look like a granny." Selena said with a slight frown when she mentioned the insults she received.

'No way!' Kanzaki thought in surprise. When Kanzaki heard this he thought she was fishing for compliments since there was no way someone in their right mind would call a pretty lady like this one a granny but when he saw the genuine frown on her face he couldn't help but be surprised.

"Well I don't think so, you're pretty and you should know that. Why isn't your husband trying to stop these terrible comments! If I knew my girlfriend was getting those kinds of insults I would lose my mind." Kanzaki said matter of face nodding his head in agreement with himself once more.

While Kanzaki talked, Selena went through a plethora of emotions. When he called her pretty her face turned back into a smile and the blush turned into a deep red tint that made her slightly breathe harder. Once he mentioned her husband she almost immediately went into a frown but was able to keep a neutral face. However, once he mentioned a girlfriend her expression almost became ugly as she went into a deep frown.

"Thank you for the kind compliment, my husband just isn't the type of guy for confrontation I guess. Enough about that, you mentioned a girlfriend? She must be really special, does she live here?" Selena said in response to Kanzaki's words catching him off guard.

When Selena asked more questions about his girlfriend Kanzaki thought back to the 30 plus messages that he had sent without a response from the other end which made him frown slightly but he quickly turned it back into a smile when he saw Selena looking at him intently, "Yeah she's definitely special. I like her a lot but no she doesn't live here. We were planning to hang out sometime soon and talk more about it but that got pushed back due to something random happening." Kanzaki said with a smile trying to hide his own bad thoughts which made him miss the growing frown on Selena's face.

"I see well I hope everything is alright. I have to go for now since there are many more people I have to greet but it was nice to meet you. I hope we can talk again sometime very soon." Selena suddenly said with a smile basically ending the conversation.

Kanzaki also said bye as she began walking away before he closed the door to his apartment and went back inside. Once he shut the door Kanzaki let out a loud sigh showing how stressed he was about the conversation. At first it had been nice getting to know her and learning different things about his landlord but once it got into questions about his girlfriend he really didn't know how to answer which saddened him.

It worked out since he felt the sadness creeping up on him which was making him want to end the conversation quickly but she ended it before him helping him out greatly. Kanzaki then wiped one falling tear from his eye before walking toward his desk and sitting down.

'It's time to stream!' Kanzaki said forcing himself to smile so that he could do something he enjoyed without having to worry about anything else.

Once she made her way inside a stall and knew she was by herself she quickly closed the seat and sat on top of it holding her head with her hands as she shook back and forth. She didn't understand why she felt this way or why she was doing this.

When she met Kanzaki she thought he was slightly handsome when he opened the door but that was about it. She had met a bunch of different people throughout the day since she just bought the apartment building and was planning on introducing herself to everyone so she had a good relationship with all her tenants.

What she didn't expect was the voice of Kanzaki. The voice of Kanzaki was the exact same as the streamer she knows named Mask and also the one she heard the day before in the street. It was a voice that she knew she would never forget and always cherish for the entirety of her life.
