Secrets revealed and the Prototype dilemma

Neo had watched all of their reactions change drastically as soon as she and Neopolitan revealed themselves. Rei was still furious and glaring at her as if she wanted to kill her. Saeko was cautious but very curious. Saya looked like her brain had shut off momentarily. Takashi was sweating bullets and going through a hundred thoughts at once. Shizuka confused her the most though, she had stopped the bus and grabbed both Neo and Neopolitan in a large suffocating hug while squealing.

"Oh my, oh my!! You're so cute! Gorgeous! Mm! Is this your true self? I love it!" She seemed really excited.

Neo just looked at Neopolitan, whose head had gained Shizuka's right boob as a hat while Neo had gained the left, still trying to look confident and cool.

"Thank you, Shizuka.. now please keep driving?" Neo heard her slightly pout.

~That size is absurd.. Your poor back~ Neo sigh-laughed and patted Shizuka's hand before she returned to driving the bus.

The girls in the back worried her the most somehow. They all, including Miki had a euphoric or fanatical expression when they looked at her.

"What are you? How are you able to change appearances like that?" Saeko took the initiative to ask.

"I suppose I can answer that before I show you the recording" Neo shrugged.

"I'm Neo, as I said earlier. This is Neopolitan, my counterpart. We have the same body but we're not twins. The power you saw is a power unique to her and I though we'll be getting stronger soon" She glanced at Takashi.

"Are you.. are you still going to help us?" Miki pleaded with desperation.

"Well of course! I plan to bring you to safety. The zombies outside will really only last about a month before decomposing too much to walk around. So I figure until that time is up, I'll take you to some nice island like.. Okinawa? Mm, somewhere nice and hot" She nodded to herself as the girls in the back made even more euphoric expressions.

"Thank you so much, Neo-sama!" Miki lead them and shouted.

"Sure..?" Neo didn't know how to respond to their gratefulness and decided to move along.

"Now, here is the tape" Neo pressed play on the recorded tape.

By the end of it, Rei was crying while Saya and Saeko looked to Takashi, who just sneered and started to take a defensive posture.

"You're.. you're not Takashi..?" Saya started to hyperventilate and grab her head in disbelief.

"So what? That guy was indecisive and a loner for such stupid reasons.. That dumbass simp didn't make Rei his when he had the chance. This doesn't make ME the bad guy here.. I didn't kill Hisashi! You can still join me you know? This murderer and her psycho partner are outnumbered" Takashi played it cool and defended by slandering the original Takashi.

"Simp? Guy loved Rei just like the original Hisashi did. You know you intruded on their lives and are trying to 'acquire' these girls like they're things to be collected right? You know damn well Takashi only really liked Rei and maybe Saeko later on but you just HAVE to get your damn Harem. Haha! Like you deserve them for what? Being the only guy in the group? Pathetic" Neo spoke down to him as he narrowed his eyes dangerously at her.

Seeing as how nobody took his side, Takashi grit his teeth as the wound on his arm closed with small red tendrils covered it. Neo's eyes widened as she took out Rivers of Blood while Neopolitan took the cue and took out the Blade of Mercy.

"That's troublesome.." Neo muttered as she saw Takashi's form change, making him wear a leather hoodie with the hood pulled up. His pants changed to blue faded jeans and he cockily smirked with his head tilted.

"Fine. I can just take what I want by force then" He spoke and kicked Neo through the windshield as Shizuka stopped the bus in fear.

Neo rolled mid-air and saw Neopolitan fly out of the bus right after her via a punch to her gut with Takashi's enhanced speed. Saeko and Rei tried to act but he knocked them both out and forced Saya back into her seat, making sure she was too afraid to do anything.

"He's gonna be a real bitch to kill. Don't let him grab any body and consume it, he'll heal even more" Neo stood straight and kicked a nearby Zombie's head in as Takashi jumped out. Facing off on an intersection where a gas station, convenience store and a few houses were.

"Really do wish you hadn't outted me there but oh well.. I get to be myself when I take them" He nonchalantly shrugged and then cracked his knuckles.

"By 'yourself' you mean a rapist, right? Is this your ultimate hentai fantasy or something? Fucking creep couldn't actually get a girl so he killed himself by auto-erotic asphyxiation when jerking off in his closet. At least Hisashi had some game! You pathetic incel-" Neo ducked a furious and powerful punch telegraphed by Takashi and flipped back, kicking him in the jaw as she did.

"I'm tired of your voice, annoying bitch" Takashi rushed forward and started to barrage the two with punches and kicks that cracked the pavement with each hit to it, indicating the raw strength he gained.

Neo and Neopolitan worked together like old partners, cutting him with each small mistake. An overswing here, an opening in his form there. Neopolitan used her partner's back as she ducked, to snap kick Takashi's face to the side. Then both of them landed a swing each on his chest, making his viral blood splatter before he healed right after. Takashi caught Neopolitan by her coat and threw her into a car, breaking the windshield and denting its roof but her aura held up.

Before he could turn his attention to the other threat, he felt Neo's katana plunge into his gut. He would have shrugged this off and sent her flying but she activated the weapon art just then and fluidly used bloody slashes while it was stuck inside him, which made him vomit copious amounts of blood and made him fly back, but not before throwing Neo overhead and making her crash into the gas station.

Hearing the commotion, zombies started to surround them but Takashi smirked at this. He started to crush, maim and dismember them with his bare hands as the virus in him consumed them for additional biomass. He was right back at one hundred percent and as long as there were bodies around, it would stay that way.

Clicking her tongue, Neo took out the sniper rifle and shot Takashi's shin off while he was still farther away from them. Neopolitan got up and gave her partner a look, then looked at the gas station.

Understanding her intent, she nodded and continued to fire at Takashi. Though he was quickly being riddled with bullet holes and being knocked over every time the rounds hit him, he was healing back just as fast. His blackish red tendrils reaching out for zombies and pulling them in en masse.

Neopolitan took to close quarters once again and took out her life fiber scissors before separating them into swords. She rained down slash after slash before avoiding a very dangerous looking black claw coming from Takashi, who seemed to unlock it while consuming the zombie horde around them.

The claws rended and tore through flesh like a hot knife through butter. Neopolitan was dodging fast as he swung maniacally at her. Always one inch away from landing a devastating hit to her aura. He finally thrusts his claw into her, but sees her smug smile before her figure shatters like glass. The only thing he succeeded in hitting was the diesel at the gas station. Gas was pooling around him and on his claw but he was too busy turning back. He saw Neo and Neopolitan at least a few dozen feet away. Neopolitan waved at him but before he could even realize it, Neo shot the pump station and blew up the entire gas station, making a rather large fireball that lit up the night sky.

She knew it wasn't over just yet, she saw Takashi's body rocket into a fire hydrant, which twisted his body in a strange angle.

"Wait, don't get close.." Neo stopped her partner and kept landing headshot after headshot into Takashi's flaming body.

His tendrils, on fire had tried to reach out to anything biological it could get into contact with, but ultimately withered away as the flames and repeat shots from Neo finally killed Takashi off. She watched his body burn up and added even more fire by purchasing cheap molotovs from the system shop. Soon, there was nothing left of him and she heard the system notification.

Neo nodded and high fived her partner.

"We fucked his shit up.. Now let's get on to getting these girls safe" Neoplitan gave her a knowing look at that.

"No.. I'm not taking anyone with us.. I think? Maybe if they asked? Oh that reminds me.. There was this fat gun nerd that was supposed to be.. Oh. We totally left him, didn't we? Sorry guy's-whose-name-I-forgot! He's probably dead though.. I think?" Neo wondered out loud.

-Fujimi High, same time-

Kohta Hirano was having a blast right now. Currently he was playing the ultimate FPS zombie game but in real life. He was using a nail gun and mowing zombie students and teachers down while protecting a group of female students and two teachers in a fortified classroom.

"This is so.. fucking.. cool!" Kohta shouted as he shot a zombie through the eye.

-Tokonosu City, Rika's house-

They finally reached Rika Minami's flat and to their pleasure, found that everything was still operational. Though it hadn't been long since the apocalypse had started. Neo had fished the guns out of the cabinet and gave them to Rei, Takagi and Miki, since Saeko rejected and Shizuka was more likely to shoot off her foot than a zombie's head.

Rei and Saya were both still emotionally distraught, seeing their boyfriend and love interests had been outed as imposters and a monster in Takashi's case. They came to be grateful to Neo, who had been working to keep them safe and somewhat sane at least. As soon as they all settled in, Neo and Neopolitan joined Rei, Shizuka, Saya and Saeko in the bath. Though Miki wanted to join as soon as Neo went in but the bathroom was far too cramped.

"How is someone so short so stacked.." Rei glared daggers at Neo and Neopolitan's chests.

"Everyone is stacked in here.. MOSTLY though it's.." Neo turned to look at the floating masses in front of Shizuka and shook her head.

"So.. what's the deal with you two? She hasn't talked at all throughout this whole thing" Saeko shifted the perverted conversation as Shizuka hugged onto Neo and Neopolitan's backs happily.

"Neopolitan is mute. Don't worry though. I can translate what she's saying. We just have that connection" Neo leaned on the tub and enjoyed the hot bath.

"So you're a reincarnator too, right? What's your plan? Besides getting us to safety? What comes after that?" Rei asks while curling her legs in close to her chest.

"After this? I go back to my world with my partner here. I know it hasn't been long but I enjoyed my time spent here.. killing zombies.. seeing you all in compromising positions.. It was fun" Shizuka tightened her grip on her as she said that.

"Are you.. leaving m-us? I know Rika didn't really send you here but.." She looked dejected but Neo and even Neopolitan put their hands on her head gently.

"I wanted to save you. Though at first, visiting you was to scope out the imposters. I like you so I think it's natural to try and save you. Despite what Hisashi claimed, you're not one dimensional characters at all. Though it's too bad he was too focused on your appearance to see that" Neo looked to them all as a pink tinge creeped up on their faces.

Shizuka just hugged her tighter with a smile.

After the bath, Neo got ready for bed. She was fine taking the couch but Neopolitan dragged her to the bed after seeing the new sleepwear she bought from the system. She pulled Neo into her embrace and enjoyed the warmth of her body pressed into hers. Though suddenly she felt a strange sensation on her neck.

"Mmn"

Neopolitan gasped slightly as she felt her neck being sucked on and nibbled by Neo. She pulled Neo into herself more in her desire to be even closer. Her legs wrapped around her partner's hips as she joyfully continued until she left an appropriate lips-shaped hickey on Neopolitan's neck.

As soon as she saw Neo's flushed face and her soft lips, she pulled her down by the neck in an almost automatic response and kissed Neo on the lips, which was readily reciprocated. Neopolitan lay there, about to start exploring her partner's mouth with her little pink tongue but was interrupted by a heavy but soft feeling coming down on them in the form of a drunk Shizuka.

"Hehe.. sho cute.." She muttered and kissed both of their cheeks.

Neopolitan rolled her eyes in annoyance from being interrupted. Neo just chuckled and put the blanket over Shizuka while petting her blonde locks in assurance.

"We'll pick that up another time" Neo whispered over to her.

Neopolitan quietly smiled and sighed in content.
