Listen To The Wind

"Are you okay?" Ian asked me softly, but there were too many voices in my ears, so much so that it took me a while to figure out what he was saying.

I felt my heart beat faster, and my thoughts were a mess. Something was pressing heavily on my chest, making it difficult to breathe.

"Annie, are you listening?" Ian asked anxiously.

I still couldn't answer him. Some light was blocking my vision, and the noise in my ears was growing stronger. There were sounds of thunder, raindrops, and wind. These sounds were all mixed, like a rope filled with power that burst right into my mind.

I felt dizzy, and my body felt weak, as if I could fall at any moment. Ian held my back firmly and kept calling my name.

"We need to take her to her room for a rest!" Nania's voice was like a fresh gust of wind blowing the chaos out of my mind. Even a gust of wind would give me a short period of breathing time.
