At The Doctor's

Mason noticed how downcast Trevor was looking when he came into his office.

"What's up with the long face?" Mason asked him. As he sat down on one of the chairs across Mason's desk.

"I took Maddie to dinner with my mom last night," Trevor said in a voice that said he was beginning to regret his decision.

"Yeah, how did it go? Ava mentioned something about it last night."

Trevor shook his head, "it didn't go well man, suffice it to say that it was a mess with a capital M.''

"That bad?" Mason asked.

Trevor blew out a breath, "oh man, it was bad. My mom said so many hurtful things to Maddie," he closed his eyes, his lips pulled together like he was trying to control his anger as he remembered the things that his mother had said.

"She said things…. things that I didn't expect her to say. She even brought Trina up, comparing Maddie to Trina."

"She did that?"
