My Savior

Arabella's POV

"Thank you so much for everything, Ty!" I muttered, and I sweetly smiled at him.

"You are welcome, Ara, and it was my pleasure to meet you, and I wish we would meet again soon, but if you want to return my kindness, I would like to invite you one of these days." He replied, and he was smiling at me again.

"Well, you know I can't since I will be busy helping my mom, and of course, I need time to be with my boyfriend." I declared.

"Okay, well, if you break up with your boyfriend, you have my number Ara." He stated.

"Why are you so confident that we will split up?" I asked, and I couldn't stand myself from laughing.

"I just have the haunch, and you were crying at the dock." He answered, and I couldn't hold myself to feeling sad.

"Hey, I am just kidding, okay?" He said, and I realized he was trying to lift my spirit.

"I can send you at the gate, and I can help you with your suitcase," Ty added.

"It is okay, Ty; I can manage, but I just want you to know I am so grateful for all your aid and don't worry, one of these days, I will return the favor." I blurted out.

"You don't need to pay for anything; all I ask from you is to have dinner with me on my yacht." He declared and smiled at me.

"You realize your invitation is so tempting, but who knows. Maybe I have free time next week." I replied.

"I will wait, Ara; good luck." He said, and I got out of his car while he moved quickly to bring my luggage; and I felt the rainfall, and Ty returned to his car immediately. I run towards Matt's gate and get inside the front porch; and I can tell he is inside since his car is in the garage, and I am glad he didn't lock the gate.

When I looked back, I couldn't find Tyler's car anymore. I realized there was a coming storm, I was drenched, and I turned cold all over my body, and how I wished I had opened my umbrella.

I think I got so lucky that the stay-out maid didn't shut the main gate and door. I climbed the stairs and went directly to Matt's room since he told me in his last message he was in their family's rest house.

I stopped in my tracks when I heard a female voice, and maybe Bianca was with him, his younger sister, who is older than I by two years. I felt excited, and when I opened the door, I couldn't believe what I saw.

Matthew is lying in bed with a woman, and they are hugging under the blanket, and her head is resting on his chest. My world stood still, and I felt like I had turned into a monument. The text messages I received were all true.

Matt got up when he noticed me standing in his room, and he was only wearing his boxer shorts. I couldn't stop myself from crying the moment I met his current girlfriend looking at me in the eyes, and what hurt me the most was she smiled triumphantly at me, and it seemed like this was what she wanted; she wanted to know that she is having an affair with my boyfriend. My sister is so proud of being his new girlfriend.

"Ara!" Matt exclaimed, but I was not looking at him. I am watching my older sister.

"How? Why Lucy?" I said, and I could feel my lips trembling while my tears were falling on my cheeks, Matt tried to grab me, but I moved away from him.

"Don't you dare touch me, Matt?" I stated in a loud voice.

"How long have you been cheating on me?" I asked angrily.

"Arabella, don't get so worked up; you are so busy chasing your dream, Matt is lonely, and I am always here; we have been on and off; I was his first fling; we were not official that time, but he was fascinated by you." My sister answered before even Matt could open his mouth.

"So, he courted you, and I was furious with him, but he comes around since you are busy preparing for your future while keeping your virginity intact until you graduate from college." My sister added.

"Matt can't just stick around for you. No one in their right mind to wait for someone like you. Do you think you can finish college? If I were you, you could have a job here, be a waitress; why you are so obsessed with being a nurse." Lucy said, and I couldn't believe my sister would betray me, and she was so proud of herself.

"Ara, I am so sorry. I don't mean to hurt you." Matt said, and when I looked at him, I could see tears in his eyes.

"Why are you crying, Matt? How could you delude me with my sister? You could have at least found someone else." I asked him. My sister stands up from the bed, and she covers herself with the blanket.

"Babe, advise her to go. We still require another round; you know I need more." My sister said, and I had enough; I turned around and ran to the door, and it took me a long while to get outside the big house while carrying my suitcase.

I can hear Matt's voice, and I can say he is running after me. I was already at the gate when he caught up with me. We are soaked because of the heavy rain, and I don't care anymore. All I felt was the pain of their betrayal.

"Ara, please, you know I love you." He declared, and I laughed and cried at the same time.

"Matt, stop! I saw you on the bed lying cozy with my sister, and now you are telling me you love me? Are you serious?" I asked.

"Yes! I am, and I don't love Lucy; it is always you, Ara; please believe me and give me another chance. I can wait for you, Ara; stay with me, please." He is pleading, and I know my love for him was strong, and I thought he was safe, but I was so wrong. I can't forgive him. Maybe if he was with someone else, there is a chance I would offer him another chance to prove his worth.

"Matt, I can never forgive you for betraying me with Lucy; she is my sister! How could you do this to me?" I asked.

"Ara, please allow me to take you home, he said, and he tried to hug me, but I pushed him, and when he tried to pull my wrist, I resisted, and he was using force on me.

"Get inside the house, Ara; the rain is so heavy, you could become sick." He declared.

"Don't you know you killed me tonight, Matt? Why do you care if I will become sick? At least if I am sick, I can have medicine, but what you have done to me is worse than getting sick because there is no cure for a broken heart, Matt." I shouted at him, trying to get away from his hold, but he was strong.

"Let me go, Matt!" I yelled at him.

"You are not running away from me, Ara, not until you will have me back!" He said.

"No, I will never take you back. Just let me go, Matt." I shouted at him, and he is now becoming more vigorous, and I know I am weak compared to him. Matt is as tall as Ty, and like him, he also has a toned body, which is why I suddenly think about Tyler Edgebright.

"Matthew, let the girl go; she already begged you many times; you take her inside your house against her will." I even heard Tyler's voice in my head as if I imagined his voice, and he was trying to save me, but Matt suddenly stopped himself from hauling me.

"Tyler, what are you doing here?" He asked, and when I turned around, Ty was there, standing and smiling at me under the pouring rain.

"To get my girl back." He said, and then I was shocked when he picked me up as if I weighed nothing, and he took my suitcase from the ground. I didn't scream since I wanted to be away from Matt as possible, and my ex-boyfriend became frozen on the ground in front of the gate of his rest house while I looked at my sister running to him.

I watched him signal his hand to stop my sister from where she was, and Lucy looked in my direction. I perceive she was thinking about who could be my savior, and I realize she will become more envious if she learns that Tyler Edgebright is the one carrying me.

"Thank you; you don't need to do that, Tyler. I am not your responsibility." I said.

"But I want to become involved. You may call me crazy, Arabella, but I can't stop myself, and it seems you are calling me for help. I was already far away when I returned since I could feel you needed my help once again." He declared.

"You need to change, Ara, you are soaking, and this rain will keep falling." He said, and he put the car in motion; and he handed me his jacket, and he turned the heater of his vehicle when he noticed I was trembling. It didn't take a long drive when he stopped in front of a Villa, and I always admired this place every time I passed by together with Matt or sometimes with my sister.

"I don't think it is a good idea that you should go home at this hour with this kind of weather, we can't see the road, and I am afraid I can't take you home, you can stay here in the meantime, Ara." He said.

Tyler got out of his car and took my suitcase while I followed him inside the household. He takes his keys to open the main door, and I am shocked to gape the interior of his home; and I can't stop myself from admiring his elegant house; I could tell it is a lovely home. Then one thing I realized it seems the Heartbreaker of the Island is now my forever savior.
