Chapter 22-maybe she's really going to die

MaryAnn stretched her head towards Jessica's neck as if to bite her. Jessica quickly snapped her head and threw it away from her.

She looked at the corpse of MaryAnn and sighed. If she wasn't fast enough, she might have bitten her.

Jessica remembered her vividly in her dream. She might still be alive if the world hadn't changed.

She felt a wall of pain crash into her suddenly. She wondered how Max would be feeling knowing his only daughter had become one of these monsters. What if something bad has happened to Max too?

She just couldn't stop thinking about Max. She wondered why she hadn't met him. There's a fear of something bad happening to him already. What if he's dead? Or what if he's turned? What if she saw him as she had just seen MaryAnn?

Damn! That would have been very bad.

Jessica whirled around quickly, to leave the premises. But she was too late. She watches as the undead walk out of their hiding place. It seemed like they used MaryAnn to lure her to them.
