Chapter 75 - Demon

Arendt chased me into the woods. Though Arendt possessed an incredible pace, it still lacked, compared to mine.

I entered deep into the woods to get rid of Arendt. I succeeded in increasing the distance between us, but I failed to keep track of the path to return to the wolf realm.

"Am I lost?" I questioned myself. I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply, trying to sense the scent of blood.

I could feel the war far away. I raked my fingers through my hair, getting annoyed. I should have just fought Arendt, I thought.

All my senses became cautious as the sound of light footsteps on dry leaves pierced through the air. Shortly, a few wolves appeared.

"Rogues," I muttered.

The wolves growled, baring their fangs at me. There was no alternative but to fight them. Unleashing my power would inform Arendt of my presence.
