Arriving at the storage room, Lily immediately greeted Mr. Graff as standing in front of the cryonic tube that holds Matthew's body. "Hi, Dad."

Mr. Graff immediately turned to Lily. He then smiled wryly. "It seems you look different today."

"Nothing different," said Lily.

"You can say like that. But I can feel it if there's something different about you," said Mr. Graff.

Lily laughed softly at her father's words. She turned to the control panel next to Matthew's cryonic tube. Lily furrowed her brows slightly when she saw the change in temperature in that tube.

"Did you change the temperature inside?" Lily asked Mr. Graff.

Mr. Graff nodded his head. "I'll raise the temperature gradually before we start waking him up. So that the cells in his body can adjust after sleeping for a very long time."

"When are we going to wake him up?" Lily asked.

"I think we'll be able to wake him up soon. I hope so," replied Mr. Graff.

Lily immediately hugged Mr. Graff. "You've worked hard for this, Dad."

Mr. Graff laughed softly in response to Lily's words. He patted Lily's shoulder. "You've worked hard for this too, dear. I still have the drawing you created after seeing him for the first time."

"Really?" Lily exclaimed in disbelief.

"I'll show Matthew when he wakes up," teased Mr. Graff.

"Oh, don't do that. That would be very embarrassing," said Lily.

"Why be embarrassed if you like him. You still like him, right?"

Lily falls silent after hearing Mr. Graff. She then looked at Matthew's face for a moment. After that, she smiled. "Of course. Nothing can change how I feel about him."

"I wish you the best."

"Thanks, Dad." Lily then released her arms on Mr. Graff. Then she looked at him with a big smile. "So, what are we going to do today?"

Mr. Graff sighed. "Today, we will try to replicate your serum and mine. We need lots of rabbits today. We will see the effect of the two serums on the rabbits."

Lily nodded her head. "Okay. I am ready."

Mr. Graff laughed softly at Lily's enthusiasm to test their serum again. The two of them then walked together towards Mr. Graff's laboratory.

When they arrived at Mr. Graff's laboratory, Lily noticed something was different in that place. The middle of the laboratory is usually empty. She was now lined up with several mini cryonic tubes filled with frozen rabbits. Lily looked at her father in disbelief.

"Since when did you prepare all this, Dad?"

"Everything has been under your feet all along. This is the reason why my laboratory is in the storage room. I have to look after these rabbits," replied Mr. Graff.

Lily nodded her head while she stepped between the mini cryonic tubes. She observed the rabbits in the box one by one. "I never thought that you guys were here all this time."

"How long do you want to stare at the bunnies, Lily?" exclaimed Mr. Graff, who immediately interrupted Lily.

"Yes, Boss. Time to work," said Lily. She immediately walked to his father, who had been at his desk. She then helped his father release some test tubes from the storage. Next, they prepared the serum that they would use for their experiments.

"You didn't answer your phone?" asked Mr. Graff when he heard Lily's cell phone ring a few times.

"I'll answer that later," Lily replied. Her eyes are still busy watching the reactions of cells under the microscope lens.

"At least you can turn off the ringer first. It's disturbing," said Mr. Graff.

Lily straightened up and looked at Mr. Graff. "Sorry." She immediately took out his cell phone from her lab coat pocket. Lily's eyes widened as she looked at the clock on her phone.

Suddenly she stood up from his seat. "Oh, my God. I almost forgot my appointment this afternoon."

This time Mr. Graff immediately turned his attention away from his computer screen. He noticed Lily suddenly stood up. "You have an appointment this afternoon?"

Lily looked at her father while nodding her head. "I promised Mrs. Thomas to stop by her house."

Mr. Graff took a deep breath. "Luckily, I asked you to turn off your cellphone. Otherwise, you will miss your appointment with Mrs. Thomas."

Lily immediately walked to her father. "Sorry, Dad. Look like I have to go."

Mr. Graff nodded his head. "Go. It's no good. If you break your promise to a good woman like Mrs. Thomas."

Lily immediately kissed her father's cheek. "Thanks, Dad." She immediately went to the door of his father's laboratory. Before leaving Mr. Graff's laboratory, Lily turned back. "I'll come back later and bring Mrs. Thomas's meat pie."

Mr. Graff chuckled while nodding his head. "I'm waiting for the meat pie."

Lily smiled as she waved her hand at Mr. Graff. After that, she immediately left his laboratory.

Ryan again tried to contact Lily for the third time. He took a deep breath when until the last ring, Lily didn't answer the phone. Then he looked at his phone screen. "Has she forgotten her promise to stop by Mrs. Thomas?"

He returned to try to contact Lily. Ryan took a deep breath when Lily finally answered the phone. "Sorry, Ryan. Did you outside?"

"Finally," Ryan said. "I've been waiting for you. Where have you been?"

Lily suddenly hung up the phone. Ryan took another deep breath. "Are all Researchers like that?"

It wasn't long before he heard Lily's voice calling his name. Ryan immediately turned. He saw Lily walking fast towards him.

"Am I too late?" Lily said as she approached Ryan.

Ryan sighed as he looked at Lily. He then smiled and rubbed Lily's head. "It's okay. Let's go now. You don't want Mrs. Thomas to wait for you too long, right?"

Lily nodded her head.

Ryan opened the car door for Lily. "Come in."

Lily followed and immediately got into the car brought by Ryan. "I thought this car was a rental car?" Lily asked Ryan when the man finally got behind the wheel of the Ferrari he was driving.

"I know the owner of this car rental. He's one of my friends in New York," Ryan replied. "So, as long as I'm here, I'll be using this car."

Lily nodded her head.

"Ready to go?" Ryan asked.

Lily smiled widely. "Meat pie, here we go!"

Ryan started the engine of the red Ferrari he was carrying. The roar of the car engine filled the parking area of the laboratory where Lily worked. Not long after, the car was on the highway to Mrs. Thomas's house.
