"What princess...he is probably talking about his sister. Here I thought ninjas were masters of deception" shaking my head I started walking towards what appeared to be the librarian.

she was a sweet elderly looking old woman who was sitting at a table high enough to oversee everything that was going on.

I may not be able to find any books about chakra but I'll take a leaf out of Mr Satos book and continue learning about the things i can right now. taijutsu books here I come.

"Hello. do you know where I can find the books about taijutsu and the history of the elemental nation?" I asked the old lady.

she peered over scoffing a little. I'm going to guess she wasn't overly fond of kids entering her library.

Understandable.

I mean most of the snot hair brats would rather bend the corners of the book or draw on the pages rather than actually read them.

Go to the rack labelled 54 and 68 in that direction" she said as she pointed her finger towards what appeared to be rows and rows of bookshelves.

Thankfully each of them had a golden number plate on top of it. thank lord for the small mercies.

I walked between the long tables to reach the bookshelves.

People of different ages were sitting there. Some reading while other writing. however, I could not find a single ninja amongst the hundreds of people sitting down. At least not a single one that was wearing their headbands that is.

The bookshelves themselves were massive. The floor to ceiling shelves were packed to the brim with books of various colors and sizes. some as thick as an ancient tome. other as thin as a toddlers bedtime story.

Stopping in front of the rack labeled 54. I took out a thick red book labeled the history of the elemental nations from the lower shelves. I'm not about to climb those ladders just so I can get something from above. My tiny feet probably won't even reach the next step.

Placing the book closer to my chest I walked towards the taijutsu shelf.

I could not help but go into a little daze after seeing the number of styles.

Finger style, crane style, drunken style mantis style, it seemed as if there was a style for everything.

"How the hell am I going to choose something from here?"

I never exercised even one in my life before. The only time I went out was to buy groceries. That too stopped after they started delivering to your doorsteps.

Overwhelmed by the sheer number of books. I decided to just take a simple beginners guide to strengthen your body. After all, I can't be hasty when choosing a style. plus, people in one piece could become physical monsters just by training every day. Surely my one piece physique would allow me to do the same.

Granted there are physical beasts like maito guy and dai in this universe too but when compared to the likes of Garp who could literally throw a cannonball that weighed 10 million tons like it was nothing. Their feet's aren't that impressive.

Sure, you might argue what about when they opened the seven gates? and how maito guy could make air cannons with his kicks. Well, all of the cp9 officers could slice the air with their kicks and they don't sacrifice their life force or get physically damaged when they use their techniques.

Can guy and dai say the same? I don't think so.

Scouting out a place to sit. I carried my two heavy books to the free seat next to one of the many lamps in the library. After placing my books on the table and sitting down. I got ready to read the history of the elemental nations first. opening the book, I started reading.

Turning the pages as I finished them. The clock slowly ticking. minutes turned to hours. Pages turned into chapters as the light of the lamp continued to flicker slowly.

"The library closes in five minutes" said someone in a quiet yet authoritative voice.

I looked up from the book at the giant clock behind the librarian. it was almost 6 pm. almost 10 hours had passed since I got here. Looking around I noticed that the once packed library was almost deserted now. and most of the people were getting up from their seats and packing their things.

I too got up closing the book. Making sure to memorize which page I was at. I was almost done reading the entire thing. I carried the heavy books towards the librarian and set them down gently on top of her desk.

she stared at me raising an eyebrow.

"What do you want little boy" she asked

"Can I borrow these books?" I asked

"Yes, you can but you can only take them for a week and if there is any damage on either one of them you have to pay a fine of 1000 Ryo" she said in a very serious tone.

" uhh yes. I would like to take both of them please"

"okay" the librarian replied and proceeded to take a book thicker than my face.

"Write your name and the name of the books you are taking here and the date as well" she said

After doing what she asked me to do I carried the books and started my walk back home. It was a quiet one.

The sky previously blue sky was blood red and the formerly lively city was slowly going to sleep. the once loud merchants promoting their foods and items could no longer be heard and the previously busy streets were almost baren.

As I passed by the academy grounds once more I couldn't help but notice how deserted it looked. The academy students that were practicing in the training grounds were no longer to be seen.

*Growl*

Came a noise from my stomach

My face could not help but heat up a little. Thanking God for the lack of people in the area. I quickly went inside a nearby shop to get something to eat.

"Welcome to the shop. How may I help you" said the lady at the counter.

"Do you have Onigiri?" I asked since I wanted to eat something light yet filling.

"Yes, they are at the back" she replied.

I went to check out the selection of Onigiri at the back. I couldn't help but be blown away by the wide variety of Onigiris before me. there were wrapped Onigiri, tuna mayo Onigiri and even octopus Onigiri and many more other seafood variations. I guess living next to a huge water body does have its perks after all.

Deciding to just take the normal wrapped Onigiri and a water bottle. I went towards the counter.

"That will be 20 Ryo "said the woman

I fished some coins from my small tiger wallet and paid the lady. Excited to try the Onigiri. I quickly walked towards one of the many river channels in the city and sat down near the edge of it ready to dig into my food as I watched the beautiful sunset get reflected from the river surface. Glittering like rubies as it did.

"Ithadakimas"

As I bit into it my taste buds were assaulted with a sweet-salty flavour along with an audible crunch from the seaweed that was around it.

"Mmmmm mmmm so good" I couldn't help but let out a moan.

I continued to eat all three of the rice balls I bought going as far as to lick my fingers due to how good it was. It seems that there was one thing consistent about me no matter what universe I am in. It is my desire to try out new food.

Drinking my water, I got up and started walking towards my house once more. Making sure to take my books with me.

After a five minute walk, I stood in front of my house. It was exactly as I left it. No light could be seen from the windows.

I guess my parents aren't still home yet. Not surprising as both of them come home around 10 pm at night. It's barely 6;30pm right now. I took my key and opened the door. After taking my shoes off I went straight up to the room.

Sitting on the bed I decided to think about what I read today. The history was more or less the same as I remember.

The tailed beasts were still here. The hidden villages were still the same. The elemental nations were still ruled by daimyos.

There was even information about the first ninja war. According to the book, the war was dues to all the villages wanting to monopolize the tailed beasts and use them to destroy other villages. The book also stated it was stopped due to the intervention of Senju Hashirama and Mito Uzumaki. They captured all the tailed beasts and sold them to the other villages with the help of some people called kara.

Ouch.

No wonder tailed beasts are so bitchy and moody in everything I read and seen. I mean I would be too if I got captured and got sold like slaves.

Deciding I would read the rest of the book later. I took out my beginners guide to taijutsu. The book had almost nothing written in it. Just pictures of the people doing exercises and how many times you have to do each one.

Either the person that wrote this book was a reincarnated person like me or the universal way to get stronger is by following the Saitama training. 100 push ups, 100 sit ups 100 squats and a 10 km run. That was essentially what the entire book told me to do. It also said to eat lots and lots of protein rich food.

Jumping out of bed I placed the book down on my table.

"Might as well start now. I don't have much time before the academy starts" I thought to myself as I got into the stance shown in the book to do push-ups.

1....2 ...3....4....5....6...7...8....9...10.

By the time I got to the 10th push up my arms were aching and sweat was dripping down my face.

11.... 12...

Thud

I fell onto the cold hard floor with a thud. My arms were no longer able to support the weight and just decided to give up.

With a push, I turned my body around and stared at the ceiling. The pain was slowly going away.

"This is going to take a long time. I can barely do 12 before my body gives up on me." I thought to myself.

After 10 or so minutes, I continued doing my push ups. Taking a five minute break between every 10 push ups.

By the time I was done, there was a small puddle of sweat on the floor. Dragging my aching body, I went downstairs to drink some water to hydrate myself. Making a mental note to have a water bottle nearby when I train.

Afterall keeping yourself hydrated when you are exercising is key. Taking a small wooden water bottle from the shelves I gulped it down like a man that was dying of thirst. The lukewarm water instantly quenched my thirst.

Now you might ask why I am not drinking something cold from the refrigerator. The answer is very simple.

There is no fucking refrigerator. I'm living in what is essentially feudal Japan. Technology has not advanced that far yet. The only place that sells cold drinks are huge shopping centers that have freezers. Their freezers basically glorified ice boxes. They use ice made by the Yuki clan to keep the drinks cold. Since the ice Yuki clan makes last longer since it is made with chakra.

It is this one of the reasons that made them such a powerhouse in the hidden mist village. As Wealth is also a type of power.

Taking another water bottle with me. I went upstairs ready to complete what I dubbed as the Saitama training.

By the time I completed the damn exercises, there wasn't a single muscle in my body that wasn't sore. fuck running for 10km..... I probably can't even walk out of my house tomorrow at this rate.

"creek"

"Zeke did you eat....what is that smell." I looked towards the door to find my mother looking at me from the door with her nose wrinkled.

"What? I don't smell that bad mom. why are you home so early?" I asked.

"Early??... what are you talking about? It's already 11 pm. hurry up and go take shower before you sleep." with that she closed the door behind her as she left.

" It's already 11?? it didn't even feel like an hour... "

I glanced at the clock just to make sure. sure enough, it was 11; 20 pm.

After 20 more minutes. I slowly got up from the floor and took a quick shower and climbed onto my bed. Where I almost immediately fell into a deep deep sleep.
