Chapter XXXVIII: Mission Possible (2)

(I would like to politely ask for the collection of power stones from you. I won't become a crazy tyrant or anything.)

—————————

As we snuck around, I took notice on every camera that was plastered on the walls. This allowed me to know where to move with all of these people without getting caught.

The inside of the large structure had a weird infrastructure. There were many staircases, doors, elevators, and balconies.

More importantly, there were many Germans. (I'm not racist btw, lol)

I motioned for all of them to follow closely behind, and we began to proceed forwards. We avoided the sight of the enemies by hiding in the shadows of pillars/columns, long bush shrubs, and other objects that would be in a place like this.

We found a storage closet that was a suitable place to come up with a game plan.

"You six stay guard outside in the shadows, I'll explain the plan later." The six I was talking about nodded and hid in the shadows outside the storage closet, while the rest of us went in and closed the door.

I quickly surveyed the inside and calmed my nerves when I saw the lack of a camera.

"What's the plan Billy?" Ash asked with an expectant look on his face.

"Hold on, let me think." He nodded. All the kidnapped people with guns couldn't help but have their guns aimed on the door.

Just in case they all were caught.

"Alright, ten of you will split up into five groups of two. You ten will first target the soldiers who seem even the slightest of isolated from the rest. Once that happens, you stay down here.

Then, Ash and I will look for the camera room, we take care of the cameras, and you once you all see the red blinking in the cameras disappear, you will proceed to eliminate the rest of the people inside who we couldn't get the first time." Everyone in the room thought about the plan and had to agree.

It's not like they had any better ideas.

"How are we going to get to the camera room? This place is loaded with enemies."

"Leave that to me. Kidnapees, you get outside with the others, formulate the teams, and get to work." One of them quietly opened the door and the rest followed.

I kept the door open and peaked out. Once I saw them disappear, I turned to Ash.

"Alright, you stand in that corner over there, I'll stand right there." I pointed towards the two corners to the left and right of the door.

"What are you gonna do?"

"We're gonna play pretend."

*CLANG!*

I picked up and threw a metal bin across the room and waited for someone. I turned off the lights and walked back over to the corner.

I heard the door knob getting turned. The door opened and one of the Germans walked past us in the dark. Just according to the plan, two German soldiers walked in.

One of them went further into the room to investigate the noice, while the other turned on the light and first looked at Ash's corner and was instantly met with a punch, and then the floor.

"It appears it was just a metallbehälter. You find anything over there Felix?" The soldier called out.

"…"

"Felix?" He walked back over and Felix was nowhere to be found, there was an American by the door with his hands in the air.

"Halt. How did you get here?"

*Crack!*

I detached from the ceiling and landed on top of the German pointing his gun at Ash, and broke his neck while doing so.

"Nice diversion."

"Thanks. What now?" Ash asked while looking at these one out of two corpses.

"Well for starters." I walked over and closed the door. I undressed these two German soldiers and threw one of the uniforms to Ash.

"We have to play pretend."

—————————

Ash and I walked out of the room with Assault Riffles in our hands, the two German soldiers from before now on the ceiling. No one batt an eye as we made our way up the steps.

I could already notice the lack of soldiers on the bottom floor. The Germans would eventually noticed, so we had to hurry.

We made it to the second floor and searched for the security room, taking out Germans not covered by cameras as well.

We had to ascend one more floor to get to it. I tried turning the door knob, but the door was locked… That made sense. Most of these doors should be locked..

I pulled out a few keys from this uniforms pocket and tried to them all. The door eventually opened on the last key.

I carefully widened the door and looked inside. There was only one guy in there and it was the camera man, who was watching the cameras.

There was something off about him. He didn't react to the door being opened at all. He didn't even twitch. Ash seemed to notice too and looked uncomfortable.

I walked inside the room and took quiet steps, motioning for Ash to follow close. I walked right next to the man and looked into his eyes. They were blank.

Emotionless if you will. It was as if he was bound to this chair and would not move.

I waved my hand in his face, and he still didn't react. I decided to ponder about this weird moment later and I knocked the guy out, webbing him to the ceiling.

I turned off the cameras and walked out the room.

"You ready to fuck shit up?" I turned to Ash. He nodded.

I pulled out a walkie talkie and connected to the same channel with Daniel and Claire.

"This is Billy, cameras have been disabled, you're free to proceed."

"Copy that."

Ash and I descended back down to the first floor and acknowledged the complete lack of soldiers down here. The bodies were hidden underneath the staircase, inside bushes, and others places too. It's also good to notice the lack of clothes on these bodies.

I clapped three times and all ten of the kidnapped people came out from the darkness, wearing the uniforms of the Germans.

"It's time, follow me." I went up the stairs and onto the second floor, with eleven people behind me, eager for revenge.

I was soon stopped by a German soldier who stood by the staircase.

"Brüder (Brothers). What is problem? Why are you all bunch up like some Zirkusshow? (Circus Show)" We were slowly surrounded by 4 more Germans, who were all ready for some lethal action.

"Ah, Zirkusshow. Sehr Lustig. (Very Funny)" I looked back towards the others and winked. They all understood what I meant and they pulled out weapons.

They proceeded to bash in the skulls of the surrounding soldiers relatively fast, while the one in front of me couldn't react in time, before his skull to, was cracked open with his brain matter leaking out.

Courtesy of my fist. It also seems that someone saw this happen. That was to be expected.

"Feinde auf der zweiten Etage! (Enemies on floor two!)"

"Lassen Sie Alarm schlagen! (Sound the alarms!)" The same voice said. A red light and loud alarm blared from the inside of the building. Probably outside to.

I wouldn't be surprised if some other bases from afar were alerted of this, meaning we actually had to leave, in case reinforcements come.

"Hurry, we gotta end this." We all stormed the next floor with guns blazing. Gunshots bullets pierced through enemies skulls, and a few stray bullets hit our squad too, nothing lethal.

Some took cover behind various things, while others were going all out and not caring about their own beings, only driven by rage and vengeance.

It didn't take long for us to clear the floor and all the people who came down from other floors. We then stormed the last two floors and killed anyone left.

The plan was to leave one alive for interrogation, but I had a feeling that there was a mini boss located somewhere in here.

It was also odd to me how I didn't see a single scientist or anything of the sort roaming around, meaning that there must be a classic secret lab somewhere.

"Alright, we gotta get out of here. You ten, drop all your weapons, ammunition, and explosives." I couldn't quite trust that these people wouldn't pull some funny shit on my team when our backs are turned.

They understood my concerns and proceeded to do so. They were unsure of their future if they didn't listen.

"Ash, lead them out with the others, I need to collect info from this guy."

"Got it. Let's go everyone!" Ash quickly exited the building with the other 10 people and regrouped with Claire and Daniel.

I walked over to the unconscious German soldier and wrapped him up in my spiderwebs. I picked him up and strapped him to my back.

I swung off the top floor and towards the elevator in the main lobby. I walked inside and had to force myself to acknowledge the lack of elevator music.

I reached for a button when I found myself a dilemma. There were two potential floors I could go to, to find the boss.

'A secret lab would most likely be on a bottom floor rather than a top floor. The top floor is most likely a room where the boss resides.

There is a chance right now that the boss is on the bottom floor instead, checking on an issue. I doubt he cares about the alarm, seeing as he hasn't left the building.

Even if he did, Claire and Daniel would've caught him and radioed me.' I took my chances and went to the top floor first.

I stood there in silence as I waited for my arrival. I couldn't wrap my head around the fact that there wasn't any elevator music.

Elevator music was essential when in this situation.

*Ding!*

"There's a ding but no music? I guess music isn't very popular in Germany around this time." I muttered.

The elevator doors opened and revealed a room built for a mini boss. It had a large bed that was decorated as if it was from a Disney movie, a bathroom, kitchen, and living room with that same decor.

I didn't sense any living beings there however.

"Well, I'm not going to let this room go to waste. There's so much looting potential!"
